I have MS and Thyroid cancer and I have not been on meds for my MS for years but it is getting to the point that I may need to start. The problem is if I take the meds it could or will cause my cancer to get worse. My Moffitt doctor says that we will keep an eye on everything to make sure that the new meds are not hurting the cancer but.... This is not an easy decision to make. Has anyone every have to make a decision like this and if so what did you do and why?

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. Best of Luck and well wishes.
Thank you, for your advice. My doctors that I see for my MS is at the University of South Florida. I will ask them if they have any cases dealing with the same issues. I hope you're doing well.
Oddly, I have to say that my doctor and I had a conversation for 45 minutes this week. I was so pleasantly surprised!! Fresh foods, exercise, healthy weight, unloading stressful baggage, are just some of the things he spoke about. Turmeric is very good for keeping cancer at bay, and avoiding sugar is a huge thing. Cancer feeds on sugar. So does the bad gut flora. We all have some bad bacteria but we don't need it thriving because of sugar either.
Most MS research is sponsored by pharma companies and this I why I have a problem with just picking up and starting a treatment. These things tend to do more harm than good.
If there Is a treatment that you are being told will help you, I'd definitely look into the reviews and the unbiased clinical trial information.
