I wss able to get mine right away too. My Dr.'s put down that I can never work again. Congratulations, we with MS, tend to be discriminated against when it comes to SSD.

great i wish was as easy as yours but it took a year to finally win the case.

- don't know if anyone can see it but we should find a way to share our positive experiences and succcessful strategies for working with the government and insurance companies.

thank you all for the replies. i am grateful mine was approved so quickly. though i am angered for those who have to fight. only people who have a direct impact of this disease understand its disability.
when i first thought of applying i called a lawyer and he said " i hope you have enough to get by for about four years ", thats when i decided to start the application process myself and low and behold, i was approved on my first time. i think the lawyers make it last longer for their benefit.

Yay! It took me three years!!!! That was several years ago and I do think that they have changed thing a bit and it also depends on the state!
