That is awesomely sweet. Congratulations. Mine was approved in 3 months, first check in 6 months.I thought that was quick. Yours had a 1 month turn around; Warp speed. I suspect an election year is the best time to apply! :)

Congrats Kelly, I just started the fighting process myself, *rolls eyes*, and I refuse to get an attorney. We'll see how that goes.....LOL!

That is really great! I was approved in 3 months, and was also shocked! I just feel bad for those who have to wait so damn long, and with such a fight!

I am in Ohio with Jav and it does take forever here. It's now 16 months for me. I guess I will get a nice check when they finally approve it. I don't understand why they wait. It isn't like it will go away since there is no cure.

WOW It took me 2 years and a lawyer. in SC. Known to be a tough state. of course I didnt know that till after. But it was good to get the big chunk of money at the end.
Do many people get turned down and then just give up completely.
Or is it like a requirement to have to appeal with a lawyer before you can get it. and everyone gets it eventually?

Congrats! It took me 1 years but the retroactive check was worth the delay.
