I am basicly a ant standing in between two massive gaints throwing mountains at eachother, and I can't win no matter what. This is the situation. My pain managment and rehab doctor thinks very strongly that I have ms. Based relapsing and remitting numbness, weakness, walking issues, eye problems, muscle tigheness, and the big one which is heat intolanernce. I've had 3 major flares, all happening in the summer time, triggered by heat, and getting better with cooler. Their was a mri done that showed a deep white matter lesion. So she has sent me to two neurologist recently. this is the answer I get from both of them. They tell me that the only place that could cause all the symptoms I yup about is in the neck. But the neck mri is clean. They say the brain lesion is too small to cause any symtpoms, so they take the anoniomic neuprophay in my feet and tell me that's the cause of all my symptoms, due to normal neck mri. My pain doc shat over all that the first time I got told this. Saying the size and the location of the lesion is just a symptom of a bigger problem, and that it;s the body turning in on it's self that is cuasing the symptoms. So she send me to a second neuro, I say her today. she told me the same thing, no neck lesion, no ms. Get treated for neuprohay. So now I am getting frustrated and unsure who I should listen to. I've been dealing with this for 10 years. I am tired and long post frustrated. Should I see a third neuro or take the neurophay treatment and see what it does. I've tried neutroin before it just made me have terrible side effects and never did anything helpful for me. I plan to call my pain doc tomorrow morning. However I am pretty sure I know what she will say to this.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I used to get terrible "charley horses" in my calves but then years ago, I came across several doctors who wrote books on the effectiveness of Magnesium Citrate and Magnesium Malate. I usually take at least 1,000 mg daily and have not suffered from these pains in years. Only on a rare occasion will I feel a leg problem like that. I do have lesions in my neck, the C5-C6 area and they cause plenty of foot drop and leg weakness. Normally I don't go to chiropractors but had a complimentary visit and he found my neck was not in a good alignment, same area as my lesions.
There are plenty of things that can seem like MS. Don't stand for a physician's guesses, just keep pursuing until the truth diagnosis is uncovered. This can be very tricky but someone is bound to see something that is yet to be discovered.
