I can not use a juicer as I live in hospital so there are limits of what I can try.
as for supplements I am on them
even here at the hospital they tried them first.
I take
calcium / vita D/ magnesium / manganese/ potassium and a few others they do blood work here often checking all vitamins minerals
if any are low they first work with your diet then supplements.
I am also on over the max dose of baclofen and they started me on gabapentin.
b/c of severe spasms they also started me on valium.
I find it hard for being so tired.
Is there another treatment>??
the muscle spasms I have are not just tight muscles (although I do have those) my back arches my head snaps back my arms contract and every muscle in my back and chest tightens I can not breath for as long as the spasm lasts so far it is 10-40 sec's that is one of my bad ones.
most of the spasms are not as bad as that (thank God) my upper back jerks back and my head does as well and my arms jerks as well making it unsafe to drive my power chair.
My arms were jerking so often I could drive my chair into a wall or worse a person.
So I had to stay in my room unless they were driving me to group
Now on the valium most of the spasms are gone but I am very tired
I just do not know what to do

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

Which suck as they use pot here at the hospital
One of the defining indicators of a baclofen pump is when the sedation becomes intolerable.
Melanie
doc has me on 1000 mg keppra 2x a day, 90 mg cymbalta and 800 mg skalexton 3x a day. Between the keppra and skalexton I've gone from so rigid and unable to move to being able to function.
keppra is a med for epilepsy and I've been told that our kind of spasms are similar to myoclonic seizures. Skalexton is a pain med that works from the spine and not the brain, and I can actually function when I take it, and it stops the pain signals from being sent out. They both are kidney friendly too.
I understand with the beclofen pump you can take lower doses of it meaning it will be more effective.
