I can't hear much of anything using my left ear--since Thanksgiving Day. I think it's MS-related (I was diagnosed in 2009), but I had read that hearing loss is a rare happening with MS. I can't see my neuro til February, and the PRP I saw last Monday was at a loss as to why the hearing loss happened. She gave me ear drops just in case there was an infection, but that visit left me feeling (honestly) rather hopeless about ever recovering my hearing...
But other people with MS have this sort of inexplicable hearing loss from time to time, yes?
I had my eyes go out one at a time (thank goodness) last year and earlier this year, and I have consistent weakness on my left side, but never anything like this before...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

Update: my ENT can't/won't confirm that this issue is related to MS. He's holding out that it's a virus...in any case, I've been on steroid pills for more than a week with no change in my hearing. I guess this is just a new norm now
