Astroglide works very well, it feels natural to me. Estrogen free, Replens is a long-lasting vaginal moisturizer. I like this also, it last 3 days. I wish you well, in this area. Its a trial phase. Be patient and everything will work out.

not sure where to post i am new on here but i was wondering if any postmenopausal women had any luck with Replens rather than using estrogen replacement. also has anyone used vagifem (sP) and had any luck with it or side effects ty kindly

I have been o n vagifem for a year and just went ot my GYN. she said I am doing fine and to keep on taking it. I am a little concerned about possible sideeffects although I have not heard of any from anybody. I am getting Leightheaded a little and when I saw that that was a side effect I was ahocked, but then I hid my Head a couple of weeks ago and my Primary said I had a mild concussion and that's what could cause my dizziness. Not a lot, just ever once in awhile. So I couldn't say if it's from the Vagifem or not since I've been on it for so long with no problems. I also have RA and you get alot of the same symptoms. It's a crazy , Rollercoster ride. I still take Remifemin for the Hot flashes, but still get Nightsweats and still can't sleep and frankly I am all sick of this.

I don't have a choice! I was off Vagifem for 5 months & ended up with severe depression & vaginal dryness so bad that I started bleeding. The 25 mcg tabs were taken off the market last year & replaced with the 10 mcg. I still have plenty of the 25's so have been cutting them into 1/4 & inserting every three days. I do notice that it increases my blood pressure the morning after. I have also tried Replens & it just doesn't get rid of the dryness & messy. I have been in menopause for at least 6 years now & only had a tubal ligation in 1988. Don't know why my body doesn't make more estrogen - at least enough to provide some kind of relief from severe vaginal dryness!
