Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I also use vitamin E suppositories, Estrace cream, Replens, and Evening Primrose Oil capsules.
I have a large arsenal!
There is no WAY I would suffer with the dryness!! Nor should anyone. I know it is just another factor in the insomnia as well...
One thing you can do outside of topical moisturizers is eat/drink probiotics. They can help normalize and balance the pH in vaginal tissue which can complicate the problem.
Soy milk or soy products which have isoflavones can work wonders as well. The isoflavones act as phtoestrogens which mimic the natural estrogen in your body. Since estrogen gone wild is this culprit in most of our perimenopause symptoms, to put them back in some form to either inhibit or encourage estrogen activity will help.
Personally, I love Vanilla Soy milk and now that I'm nearly menopausal have had no issues with vaginal dryness.
And believe it or not, staying hydrated helps as well.
Hope you find relief.
My Vaginal Dryness didn't start until I was well into Menopause. I had no problems with it at Perimenopause.

My mother-in-law complained of it when she was well into actual menopause as well.
Have you tried soy? Probiotics? Is it more internal rather than external?
I used a product a few years ago that has black cohosh in it which is supposed to be good for vaginal dryness, it's called Estrotone. I used the New Chapter brand. Here is a link if you want to check it out. It's a really good product. It was one of the few things that I took during the worst of my symptoms.

If you do end up taking this or something else, I would be interested to hear if it works for you so I can blog about it at my blog.
I'm always on the prowl for good solutions! :)

I went to my GYN Wednesday and she told me to try Vagifem. Daily for 2 weeks and then 3x a week. I just used it 2x so I can't tell yet. Mine was internal dryness, so I really hope it helps, my husband does to.(lol). I take Remifemin for the hot flashes, great stuff.

I was just re-reading stableone's post about the products she used. I'm going to take note and update my recent blog post on these solutions.
Stableone is right, no one should suffer with this stuff when we have so many options!
Thanks again for letting me know and I'll be watching to see how it works for you.
