I had very bad breath and my gums were getting swollen,,, I researched home remedies and found something called (oil pulling) I never heard of it before but it was cheap and I had everything it called for,,, after the 3rd time oil pulling my bad breath was gone and my gums became healthy about a week later... I have caveties and a cracked tooth but cant affored the dental treatments so I tried this... I know I will have to get my teeth fixed when Im able but I have no symptoms now. I have been doing this for 3 months now.

Update on my dentist phobia: Today i seen the dentist I ACTUALLY made it through full mouth X-ray the dentist took the mirror deal with his pick and the one tooth broke way up in the gum was so sore and two other ones was. He said X-ray showed several teeth very decade and some bone loss. He said instead of putting me through trying to dig them out one by one he said that would be to stressful as bad as I suffer panic/anxiety so he gave me the X-rays and referral to see davis a Graves D.M.D Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Their office was closed today but the message was left and they will call us up tomorrow to set day and time. i have the xrays so we may have to go either tomorrow or monday and set up a pre visit and do the surgery the next day since tomorrow is friday they may do pre visit tomorrow to go over xrays-money and so forth.
I did not sleep basically for two days prior to my appointment this morning at 9:00am I was full blow panic for two days. I MADE myself go today fear and all . I was given Hydroxyz Pam 25 mg but was too afraid to take so dealt with all the panic anxiety myself my body felt so afraid /scary and I could not rest constantly pacing floor and crying . I hate this non stop panic I gotta find away to make it go away with out pillsI am scared of meds! Please keep praying that i get through this and allow them to put me to sleep. I think dentist said they will start IV. I have 6 teeth to be removed with one up in the gum and decade. Anyone here been put to sleep and had the oral surgery that can share with me. I thank God that I actually without meds made it to the one dentist appointment today and at least got full mouth X-rays and referral.

My daughter was put to sleep when she had her wisdom teeth pulled. When she came to she didn't even know she had it done yet. I'll keep praying for you.

Way to go Polarbaby...I'm proud of you ! You will be given sedation IV, and believe me honey you won't remember or feel a thing. You will feel so much better when it is all finished. You should be very proud of yourself ! Let us know how everything goes, remember...YOU"LL BE FINE !!!

called oral surgeon today and they said the dr. was out for a few days and I could not get an appointment till oct 18th at 4:00 Which is not this monday but next Monday . I called back to my regular dentist to ask for antibiotics to get me through till then because two teeth are sore to the touch and has been for the last 6 weeks. He said unless it swells in my face he would not give me an antibiotics cause said when you need them then it wouldn't work, For the Lady that is a dental asst. can a sore tooth too touch be also an exposed nerve? I will keep the oral surgeon appointment as i have no choice I am nervous about been put to sleep but am trusting God all the way on this. Keep praying for me to make it through Oct 18th without it swelling in my face... :-(

Polarbaby, what great news. I'm so proud of you ! ! ! I knew you'd do it this time and like I said before, this will make you stronger each time you overcome one of your fears and it will lessen each time you have to go through something again.

A few years ago my son was put to sleep to have his tooth removed and there wasn't a problem at all. The worst he felt was a little achy in his gum after the numbness wore off but not enough to even warrant a tylenol.

Have trust in the surgeon doing this. I'm sure your not his 1st patient. lol

You must be feeling better already knowing that you got this far. You probably didn't think you could do it although we all knew you could.

I was also crying pacing the floor this past week with terrible anxiety. This just drives me crazy ! ! ! I am also scared to death of meds. I'd rather just die in my house than go to the hospital and be put through God knows what. I don't take meds for anything, just ride out whatever is wrong with me at the time so I know how you feel on that one.

You'll feel so much better when this is all done with and you'll have gained much needed confidence.
