Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Hee hee
Say, when menopause is over, will any interest in sex return at all?
I do so hate to disappoint Christian Bale.

I have never heard of Daminan, but I have tried black cohash, it did not help me, but some people swear by it.
I take Evening Primrose Oil Capsules and Omega3 Capsules. I think they help me, and Omega3 is good for depression also.
Hope this is of some help ~ Angel
Since starting full-blown Menopause almost 3 years ago, my libido has pretty much disappeared. Even when I'm feeling physically good (ie: not having GID, bloating, headaches, backaches, body aches, crashing fatigue, etc.), I'm just simply not interested in sex anymore. Even my husband's kind offer of bringing in another man to liven things up for me does not excite me at all. But there is my husband, who has needs that are not only physical, but emotional as well; he wants sex and he wants it with ME, the woman he loves and married (which is why resorting to prostitution or having a girlfriend on the side is out of the question as far as he's concerned).
So here's what we do: when I DO feel good and our schedules allow -two factors that already limit us to once a month, if we're lucky- we strip, and get into bed, and start by kissing and cuddling. Then I basically start talking dirty and masturbate him. He gets satisfaction not only through the physical release but the intimacy and affection that having me there (as opposed to doing it by himself) as well. I don't have to deal with the discomfort of coitis while having a dry vagina, which also means I'm not angry and/or resentful that I had to perform out of guilt or sense of duty.
We are not 24 anymore,(I'm almost 48 and he just turned 49) and at this time in our lives, this is what we can do. And since there are a lot of days when I'm not even a coherent, sane human being, having these little moments of intimacy bonds us and helps us both feel like we haven't lost it all (like my in-laws who never touched each other or kissed).
Speaking of which, don't forget to keep touching each other, not in a strictly sexual way, but rather as showing affection. This will keep you both from feeling rejected and unwanted by each other. Take turns rubbing each other's neck or feet.
Hope this helps. Good luck to you both!
