Long Distance Relationship Blues
Hello all. I am new on here but am looking for friends who are in long-distance relationships like me. I'm in a great relationship and my boyfriend is very loving and caring, but we met on a dating site almost 10 months ago and we only communicate on that site still. He is very guarded with his personal information. We haven't talked on the phone or video chatted or anything. We text back and forth all day every day. He gets upset if I ask to move off the site and onto a different app that doesn't cost to post. I know he loves me, as we talk about our future and getting married and adopting a child. All the things that normal couples talk about. We have date nights and watch movies at the same time and text back and forth throughout the movie. He is 12 years younger than me, but we have been through all the age different talks and I was the one with the issues and now they seem silly. Is it okay that he only wants to text?

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

Definitely insist on talking by phone at the very least. But better yet, do a live video chat. If he is okay with doing date nights, then he should have no problem video chatting with you.
You need to protect yourself and find out who this "person" really is. Sooner rather than later. I would ask now for a phone or video chat. You don't want to be taken for a fool. Definitely don't send him any money or nude pics of you! Or any promise of his citizenship.
Also, have you tried looking for guys to date in person? There should be some good guys near you that you can see in person, talk by phone whenever you want, etc. Then at least you would know who you are really dating. Be able to go out together, be together in person, etc. Isn't that what you really want in a relationship?
