Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. I tried to step out of my box. I've been single for almost 4 years, tried dating here and there but I always seemed to get forgotten and finally said ok let's give the nice guy a try, good for 2 months and then he gets his and then I start getting ghosted. I ask him what is going on he says he has this big secret that's causing him to recluse and he needs to clear his head and goes away for the weekend. Me being genuinely concerned for his mental health, about a week later I messaged him to see how he was doing and he reads it and ignores me. I feel like i seriously cant catch a break on the dating scene. I'm sick and tired of being alone. I want someone to share my life with not someone who comes in makes me feel some type of way and then walks out. I hate always being the third wheel around my friends and not being able to relate when they talk about couple things. I go thru the same motions everyday and I finally say you know what maybe you can be vulnerable and this is what I get? I feel like I'm genuinely starting to hate my life and I dont know what to do. I dont want to let another human have this effect on me but seriously what is wrong with me that I cant even get a response back, not even a "thanks for checking on me but I'm not ready yet" like a grown adult, or hell a human should have the decency to say to another human. I'm tired of the run around of being left. Everyone leaves me, why dont I just leave.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Finding someone you like and then getting a date with that person is one thing but keeping that person coming back to you is an entirely different challenge.
You have to pretty much sell yourself, by focusing on what you have to offer in a relationship. For example, if you are a good cook, find out what he likes for food and cook for him/her.. You might want to say, "Let's go to my place and I'll make dinner for us..
It's all about acting positive, promoting your qualities, and taking an interest in the life of the other person you are dating.
Try to avoid negativity and try to avoid the temptation to perceive yourself unfairly treated. Men, espesially, do not like listening to drama. The last girl I went on a date with could not stop talking about her ex husband and what an AH he was and all the things he was doing to her. Needless to say, that was my last date with her. So always be positive if you can and watch what happens.
Hope this helps.
God Bless
I used to be too eager and trying too hard also. I always got hurt. Later on in life, I played it cool, and eventually I DID get married. Unfortunately, I got divorced 10 years later, but please don't go by this,, not everyone divorces. we did have some great years together.
I know what it's like. I've been single for most of my life, it's hard!
But sometimes it hard to take that first step....I know I have been trying this year to make changes...but it can be really hard especially when you made a safe haven to protect my heart. And yes, I know if my heart is broken it means that I have opened my heart and living. But that first STEP is really hard to make.
