Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

Hi,
I want to send out hugs and encouragement and support to everyone! The people who write on this site, share, ask, vent...all of it, has inspired me so much this past week. Some of my loneliness stems from lack of understanding about the conditions I have, from the isolation...from the transition I am going through...I fight it. I try to stay as positive as I can, to remain content, find joy in simple things. There are people in my life who do not understand, nor do they try to educate themselves on what I am going through. I often times feel that I have to excuse them and just soldier on.
Someone very close to me said that people are not compassionate by nature. I have given that a great deal of thought. I don't think that is acceptable, but then I wouldn't. I feel such compassion for every one's post and circumstance. I am so glad to see such an outpouring and so much kindness and caring about each other here on this site!
I've been sleeping a lot, a flare...and I'm frustrated with me. After several hard rain storms, it brought some unwanted bugs into my home. It is driving me crazy...not to mention creeping me out. I made it to the store finally, bought something to help the situation and these little centipedes or whatever they are...are everywhere. I need to sweep them out of my little home. I need to clean my house, pay bills, do laundry...and I don't have the energy to take it all on. Last month I had some unexpected plumbing problems and couldn't afford my meds. Without them I was reduced to increased pain, fatigue, have trouble walking, doing much of anything. I either sleep too much or can't sleep at all. I always manage to rally at some point, but sometimes I wish I had help. I wish my healthy family and friends could & would understand better.
I think they all see me as strong and self-sustaining, but it is such a struggle at times. I know I have to do things in short bursts or degrees and there is so much to do...yeesh. If I do too much, I knock myself down flat. I was able to buy my meds this month, but it takes time for them to get back in my system...it is not a cure, but it does reduce the symptoms.
Anyway, everyone take care...stay as strong as you can and love yourself...you are all very precious and have given me a new sense of courage to continue my own personal battle!
Blessings and prayers to everyone!

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Tomorrow is National Massachusetts Day!Have you ever lived in or visited Massachusetts? If so, tell us what's great about the Bay State!

I believe that most people actually are compassionate by nature until they are taught differently or they make a conscious choice to be otherwise. I also believe people can also choose to be compassionate and more and more are doing just that.
hugs back too
Also appreciate the advice about the meds supply when I'm running low on monopoly money...it was a $100 problem, then another $325, then $195 and finally another $150...why did I not go to plumb school? If only....sigh, I coulda made the big $$$. I coulda been a contender. This enforces my belief that God may not keep me in this too big of a house for a girl with a smaller space need for too much longer, but the jury is still out.
I know I sound pretty goofy and giddy, but I received an answer to prayer today. Unexpected good news and I am just overwhelmed and amazed. I had to sit down, struggle to get up and sit down again, just to take it all in. It brought happy tears...it took me a minute to absorb the beauty of that...and much longer to fully appreciate the grace I was shown today. I told the caller that if I could, to picture me twirling around and jumping up and down like a happy little girl on the first day of spring...physically, not possible, internal joy...priceless!
Am doing a happy dance for you right now.
Hearing from God really is...just so cool! I got all twirly and yeeee hah!
