Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. I'm just freaking sick of all of this crap. I am over it. Just over it. Over COVID, which was created out of human stupidity to start with and now has ruined the world. I am OVER being isolated, having no friends. Nobody gives a crap what happens to me. My "friends" overseas mostly don't bother to check in on me or reply to my messages. I am alone and it I get sick, nobody gives a crap or will even know. That is how isolated i am. I work. I go home. I work. I go home. No in betweens. Yeah. I am grateful I can work and earn an income. If I couldn't I would be on the streets because I don't have anybody to help me. Not that i depend on anybody because I don't. I am sick of my family who doesn't act like family. My dad constantly talks about dying. He is 66. I have 3 younger sisters, 2 of whom I have not seen or heard from in 6 years or more. One I do. She lives in Oregon. All she can talk about is not wanting to live into her 60s. She is only 31. My mom died 6 years ago. I am just over it all. I am over everything. I want to get on a ship and go to a deserted island. I may as well because I don't have any friends or family so it doesn't matter. At least I will have a 0% chance of getting COVID.

Name something you’ve gotten better at as you’ve gotten older.

Please, start journaling, see a therapist, even online, and just as important— join meetup groups that share your interests!! Those of you saying you don’t have friends or family— make new ones. And if you do have anyone you can talk to currently, then call and talk to them every damn day if you have to.
My wife of 20 years left me during quarantine. I was devastated. I felt like I could barely breathe most days. But I have been doing all those things above and I feel better about myself now than ever, and I have met so many great people.
Also, work on yourself! Take up a new hobby, learn a new skill, get those projects you’ve putting off taken care of. Forward progress in life, in my experience, has been the number one killer of depression and loneliness.
Just hang in there, keep moving forward— you will get through this!
By the way, ‘just keep moving forward’ was my mantra for 2 months straight. Force yourself to move even if you don’t want to.. And speaking of moving— take walks daily. I forgot to mention that earlier.
