Wish I knew....there's no one I can talk to about this as they do not understand. When I have they all think get a job you'll be better. I have a job which I'm thankful for. Then it's why not go out...where to??
Whynotme

I wish I knew why it's so hard. I see the world socializing, having fun, having friends, parties, weddings, family gatherings, etc. I have none of those. Time stands still for me, nothing ever happens. I totally understand. It's not that we have bad social skills. I don't know what it is. Like mentioned above, what label should we put on this?

I can relate. I can go on and on, but I've told the story too many times. Long story short, this summer was the worst. I had about 8 seizures (epilepsy), depression and cutting, and the person who got me through it was someone I loved and who loved me back, and he disappeared without telling me why. I feel loneliness whenever I think of him. I think of how something that was beautiful could easily die. He's never told me why he did it, and it keeps eating at me whenever I would hear what he said about it. He's never told me, and I feel sick to my stomach. Everytime I would post something like this on Novni, people just made it into some sort of joke. It keeps devouring me. I started letting go, but it keeps coming back whenever I would hear about something he said or did, and this time, he said to his/my friend to tell me that things "just shifted" and that "he didn't mean for it to hit the fan". I'm lost. I'm completely lost in something that I don't even know.

I feel the same way. You described it perfectly.

I feel the same way. My girlfriend of 20 years left me just before Christmas. Since then I've been trying to learn to be alone. I have some good people in my life that support me but even around them I feel alone.

I van definitely relate. I just split us with my husband of 30 years and have no idea which direction to go. Since he is with my best friend of 35 years I know longer have my friend to hang out with. What makes it worse is I am 49. I am lonely but as an introvert I am not about to go out alone and how on earth do you make friends with people at my age when now I feel like I cant really trust anyone.

I know that feeling. When I think of my funeral, I know no one except my child and separated husband will show up so I told them that I didn't need a funeral. I don't why people don't like me and keep me out of the loop. It is hurtful, I am just tired of it all and not want to leave the house. Doesn't seem worth it at times.

Sigh... I'm just a waste of air. No one cares to help, even when they say so...
