Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

I remember when my ex divorced me after a 24 year marriage, I was terrified of being alone for the first time in my life! I have a small dog...A Boston Terrier and she was alot of comfort to me during that time.
I had spent most of my time, living life through someone else, so I made a decision to focus on me..... I wanted to learn who I really was. So I began to look upon each new day as an adventure and I began to take pleasure in the little things in life and in the things I commonly use to overlook.
I spent more time going for walks. I spent more time exercising. I spent more time with my music and practiced my instrument more...and I began the practice of meditation which helped me alot because I began to see parts of me, I never knew existed! It was eye opening to say the least!
So I made peace with the initial fear and I forgave it, as well as myself. I made peace with my ex and with my past and forgave those. When I let go of all that resentment, I actually felt like a huge burden had been lifted from my shoulders! It was a huge relief!
You WILL get through this and your life WILL get better, if you want it to, because where there is a will...there is a way!
God Bless
For me, support is vital right now as well as anything that helps get my
mind off of the pain. I suffer from depression and anxiety and it comes and goes. Right now I am in the midst of an episode of MDD.
I just went out with a friend for a couple of hours (with masks, social distancing etc). I am tired but it helped.
Then force yourself to go out and take walks. Weather is nice, so get out there. Better than sitting home looking at the 4 walls.
I know you're probably sad and depressed about divorcing. But you have to move forward---start thinking about and making some plans, or go on indeed and start looking at jobs (although they won't hire now, just get ideas).
There's a lot of support out there for people like you.....If you call 311 in your area they could refer you to a phone support hotline. I did something like that once and it helped me.
Just remember---this too shall pass. You'll be fine, it's just something you have to go through right now (unfortunately). Best wishes to you!
Anyway welcome to DS. You might check out the depression group; they have a lot more members and posts. I'll bet there's a divorce group too.
But please reach out in some way or ways.
