I'm reading up on sociopath. I'm on a few sites. I'll let you know my conclusion. Not that I'm a psychiatrist but just if these traits fit him.
I've been reading up on sociopath. Went to a few sites. I think some are exagerated. This is not cut and dried. Some apply to him but many do not.
Examples from this site:
https://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html
1.He is manipulative and domineering but not hostile and humiliating.
2. Grandiose sense of self
3 . He is not a pathological liar but is very convincing
4.He does have some deep seated rage but I doubt he sees people as targets.
Next 3 does not apply.maybe outburts and outraged by insignificant things.
5.i think he has empathy
6. Poor behavior control.Ok I think yes
Next 2 not true except for blaming others.
7 promiscuous yes
Next 2 no. He is a very hard worker
The "other related qualities "he is number 3 . authoritarian.
Some are ridiculous such as # 8 and 9.
They don't mention great talker who brings you to their way of thinking.
Many of these things can apply to people who are not sociopaths
For example, my H is a covert narcissist. He is the “nice guy” who is always friendly, helping people, appears so caring and engaged with others. What I did not realize until he blew up my life is that he does all of this for approval, attention and ego kibbles. He also did not tick every box on the various covert narcissist inventories, but enough of them to identify a trend in that direction.
