Kathleen and peytons, how are the shots going?? I found the Menopur to be the worst. I had my egg aspiration Thursday and I had 13 eggs! 12 matured and out of those 11 fertilized, waiting for a call from the nurse this morning to see how they are developing and how many survived. She'll also let me know if I am doing a day 3 or day 5 transfer. Tomorrow would be day 3, getting nervous! Have just expected negative results every step of the way and so far by body has surprised me. Not allowing myself to get excited yet though, just hopeful.

I am doing alright been on the Lupron a bit over a week and on the other two just a couple days but I agree about the menopur it helps to go slow on that one.
Your retrieval sounded great congrats those are great numbers so far! Keep us posted on your transfer! Are you transferring one or two?

I agree ladies, the Menopur is the worst! I talked to my nurse about yesterday and she said to let it sit for a little but after mixing it together and it can elevate the burn. So last night I got the mixture ready and then gave my self the Follistim (which is way easier) and then gave took the Menopur. I didnt really notice a big difference to tell you the truth! Thats great news about your retrieval fsugrad! Good luck Tuesday on your transfer. Any advice for what it feels like after?? I am not looking forward to it, I am nervous!!

I had my appoinment yesterday and all looks "normal" as the dr said, I hope thats a good thing. Going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and hopefully by Wednesday I will have a better idea about when my ER will be so I can let my work know. Thats the worst thing, like not knowing!

The ER was pretty easy itself because you are under anesthesia, but I have been in pain since then with cramping and bloating. Nurses all say its completely normal though so I'm just chugging along. I go for my transfer tomorrow! I wont know how many of my embryos survived until I get there. As of Sunday, all 11 were between 6-8 cells which is exactly where they are supposed to be so hopefully they kept developing normally. I am only putting 1 embryo in tomorrow unless the quality is not as good, then they will put in 2. Hopefully I have some to freeze too because the package I got allows for 2 frozen cycles as well.

Good luck ladies, Kathleen, i think all the bloodwork and ultrasounds were probably the worst part, I think I ended up going 7 times in 2 weeks!

So it looks like I will be having my ER on Sunday, possibly Monday. As of today's appointment I have 7 follicles that are at just about the right size. I increased my Menopur on Monday evening and added the Ganirelix as well. So I am up to three shots for now. I have been feeling bloated, and my breasts are so sore! Has anyone else been feeling these? Also kinda crampy after I administer the Menopur.

Kathleen, yes my boobs are still sore! And still bloated and crampy but now because of ER and transfer. Transfer went well, they put 1 embryo back in that made it to the blastocyst stage. And they were able to freeze 2 so I am hopeful, went in today for the progesterone blood test and have exactly one week to wait for first pregnancy test, gonna be a long wait!

Good luck Kathleen on your ER! I developed several more eggs within last few days of meds so you might get some more as you keep taking meds. Also, most of the bloating for you is because of all the follicles so while it sucks, the more bloated the better because that means more eggs :)

And the waiting period begins! I am glad it went well and that your were able to freeze as well! I am hoping for the same. I am very bloated so I am hoping this is a good sign! I go back tomorrow to get the definite about having the ER either Sunday or Monday. I am very exciting, a little nervous. No my question is do you still continue the shots after the retrieval and transfer? Wishing you so much luck during the waiting period and hoping that baby will stick !

No more shots, your nurse should schedule your trigger shot and then 2 days after you should have your retrieval. Your trigger shot should be the last shot you take...unless the progesterone they prescribed you is in shot form. Mine is not, its inserted vaginally. You should also take something like Medrol (pill) the night of your retrieval, for about a week. Its super gross, make sure you have something to eat right away after you take it. And I have to take it with something with more flavor than water too because its so bad tasting. Good luck on your ER! Hoping for more follicles to develop for you!

Yea I have the Progesterone (Crinone) in a vaginal suppository as well. The trigger shot, is that the Ovidrel? I have the Medrol too, I should start that the night before? I am sure they will tell me all of this in my appointment tomorrow, hoping that its Sunday rather than Monday tho! Thank you and good luck with you 2ww! No they had me start the Medrol the same day as the ER, the ER was at 6:45am and I took the Medrol at dinner that night. Yes, they should explain everything to you. I would get daily calls after I had my bloodwork and ultrasound and they would tell me what to do during those phone calls. And yes the Ovridrel sounds like the trigger shot, mine was a different name but I've heard the name of yours too. I had to mix mine similar to the Menopur.

Ahh ok I am starting to understand it all now! So I went to the dr today and they said that they are pushing my ER until Monday, because they have 2 follicals at 18 cm, and alot more right on the brink of 18 cm so they wanna wait another day which is good because I plan on freezing as well. So another day!

Waiting sucks lol but it is what it is :) And that's good that they are pushing your ER another day, more time for those follicles to grow nice and big! I transferred one, I didn't want to risk twins. It's a nice thought in theory but its high risk and I just watched my cousin's wife spend months in the hospital trying to keep her twins in as long as possible and then they were both born premature and they spent months in the hospital, almost dying.

As for me we have an appt. today so we will see how things are growing but so far so good. They are thinking ER the end of the week. And I have been bloated and sore boobs as well lol. Will update will I know more after today.
