Hi I will be a little bit behind you I am starting bc pills now after this next period and then the stim in Jan. This will be our first ivf cycle. I to had surgery in Oct. mine was for an ectopic pregnancy through iui but they were able to save my tube.

Peytons1221: Thats great that they were able to save your tube! I have one functioning one now that I may be able to use in the future. I start the stim the last week of December if all goes well with my cycle, so I am praying it does! I wish you the best of luck as well! keep me posted!

Hi KathleenS9713 and Peytons1221 it sucks that we are all on this journey but I am glad to know we are not alone! I had an eptopic pregnancy in Feb 2013 and they had to take my right tube. I am due to start my bc in a few days and then the stim in Jan. This is also my first IVF cycle. I do not have an infertility support group in my area to talk to so I would really like to reach out to you both if that's ok. Its good to have support when going down this scary road. snailbug: Welcome! I also have only one tube, in October they removed my left tube due to a blockage found on my HSG and hydosalpinx. they also removed scar tissue from my right tube, and they did not have an explanation as to why.

Anyway, I am now just ordering my meds which are due to come in next week. Then I am going away for the holidays and when I come back it looks like I am starting stim first week of January! Its my first time too and it will be nice to keep each other updated and share out scary journey together.

I am currently taking birth control meds for the month of Dec and I have an appt coming up on 12/29. Hopefully with that appt I will have a better idea when to start the shots and we will know when the actual retrieval and transfer will be. I am scared of the meds. I have done shots in the past but nothing like what IVF requires. Everything is amped up hormone wise and it scares the hell out of me. I suffer from Generalized anxiety disorder and have panic attacks. So add hormones to that and yeah not fun!!!!!!!

Good luck with the shots! I am super nervous about the shots to. I start Lupron in the 15th and have my baseline appt on the 21st and then everything gets underway. It's looking like my retrieval will be the first week of feb.

Are you all doing any thing different with your diets or doing acupuncture or anything like that?

I wish I could do acupuncture but its not covered by ins. and I haven't changed my diet at all.

Congrats on starting the shots!! Thats super exciting SNAILBUG and PEYTONS. I recently got back from my cruise on 12.29.14 and was due to get my period that day, BUT of course it came three days early and I was unable to start my meds, even though I have them at home. My doc said that I had to come to the office on day 2-3 of my cycle.

With that said I have to wait to start on my next cycle which is due January 20th. So it looks like I will have my ER in the first week of Feb now, hoping that all goes as plan! Keep me updated ladies! This is our time to share and have each others back !!

So I've been doing my shots since Saturday and I had an ultrasound this morning and I only have 4 follicles that are big enough for retrieval. I have a few more that are small so I am supposed to do the shots tonight and tomorrow night and then go back in on Saturday for another ultrasound. The doc said that we are still going to continue the cycle, (they thought that maybe they would cancel this cycle but they are not!) so we are hoping that some of the follicles will plump up in two days.

Did anyone else not have a lot of follicles develop? Is that normal? I am a little disappointed but still feeling optimistic. It will happen! It will happen! It will happen!...

I started my shots on Wednesday with just Lupron, then tonight I started with the Follistim and Menopur as well as the Lupron. The Follistem and the Menopur were pretty painful, anyone else experience this?? Have about 10 more days of this but hopefully it will be worth it! Good luck to everyone!

Hey just an update on me my meds are on the way will be starting the Lupron on the 15th and then have my baseline appt on the 21st and will go from there.

I only have 4 large enough follicles. The doc said she was concerned by that number because at my age I should have like 10-14. But good news we still get to go thru with it. We do the trigger shot tonight and I'm not looking forward to it cause it's a big ass needle that goes in my butt cheek! We will be doing the retrieval on Monday and if we can get at least 1 egg to survive we will do the transfer on Wednesday. I am freaking out!!!!!!! Meds made me nervous but this is crazy anxious right now.
