HPV Support Group
Human papillomavirus is a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans. More than 100 different human papillomavirus (HPV) types have been characterized. Some HPV types cause benign skin warts, or papillomas, for which the virus family is named. HPVs associated with the development of such "common warts" are transmitted...
What took mine away, fast!

I don't believe in going to the doctor and recieving prescriptions that probably have worse side effects than the symptom, so I did some research.
Vitamin B Complex stimulates normal cell growth. I began to take that like candy (it makes your pee neon yellow, but it's harmless), and I took plenty of Vitamin C for my immune system.
Now, I had the internal fight against the warts going on. Externally, I soaked cotton balls in Apple Cider Vinegar and sat with them on the affected areas for about an hour every day. It was very unplesant, but I noticed that they were going away after a few days! After 2 weeks of this treatment, they were gone! I did this treatment a year ago, and they have yet to come back, and I'm ecstatic!
I would recommend this to anyone because it's inexpensive and fast! :)

My HPV story - Ladies, please read - it's a positive one!

Hi to whomever is reading this - Here's my story with dealing HPV - please read it if you are feeling scared, anxious or negative in ANY way - from the bottom of my heart!
I'm FINALLY writing on this site only because I know it comes up in the searches of HPV. I know how scary it is to receive the first surprising call form your gyno telling you that something is off with your pap smear. I have been dealing with this for about 10 years now (NO, no continuously - read on) and want to share my story so you can get some perspective on it and feel better. My story may be a bit long, but none of it can be skipped to understand the circle of events with HPV because I am SURE ALL of you reading this won't just have 1 episode with dealing with it. Here's MINE:
I had always had regular pap smears all through my teen years and early twenties. When I was 23 I started dating a guy that I had the maddest crush for years back in high school. Back then, he wanted nothing to do with me, but years later - his mind had changed, while mine had always been the same. I had only slept with 2 guys before him (both of which were with very innocent boys and in committed relationships). This high school crush saw me years later in my 20's and had to have me. He courted me, was very sweet and respectful and finally we made love. I felt like I had "known" him through the years because I knew him when I was such an innocent teenager. Many things (women) had happened since that period. Nonetheless, we fell in love and we had sex (w/ out a condom - but I eventually it wouldn't have mattered). I had a pre-planned trip to Europe for my college graduation. While on the trip, I felt a strange sting/itch. I looked down and saw a TINY red mark.....within the weeks, it grew to a painless little tiny growth. I figured it was a mole or my body changing as I was growing. Then I went for my regular yearly pap smear. A week later, the nurse called me and delivered the news very nonchalantly: "Your papsmear showed abnormal cells and DR. X would like to schedule a colposcopy. I freaked, started googling and asked them to fax me a copy of the report. There, I saw it in black and white: "Cervical changes resembling, but not diagnostic of HPV" I went in, the Dr. did a biopsy with vinegar where he said he didn't really see much, but was extra careful and snipped a little biopsy to get a better look. Meanwhile, I asked him to check out the little 'mole' that I noticed. He didn't even notice it. Once he took a further inspection, he confirmed it WAS a wart. It was SO tiny and looked like a TINY spec of flesh that did nothing more than reflect light differently. It was BARELY raised. He removed it. The biopsy came back with "cellular changes negative for virocytopathetic effect" (basically, it didn't act like a virus), but my pap smears were coming back with "dysplasia and mild dysplasia" He kept wanting to 'freeze' my cervix and I didn't feel that was right. I changed doctors for a second opinion. The second gyno was appauled that the first gyno did the "freezing" after such a mild lab result. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GYNO DOES NOT FREEZE YOUR CERVIX AFTER JUST ONE PAP - second gyno (a woman and a fertility specialist) said that everyday she deals with "out of date" doctors that want to freeze the cervix as a quick fix and that most of the time it leaves the women scarred and damages the cervix to make child bearing very hard. The more MODERN way is to leave the body alone and let the immune system take care of it. This new gyno closely examine my genital skin with green goggles and said that there were 'subclinical/undetecablt' hpv/warts. He brushed some sort of acid on them, I had a return visit and they were gone). READ ON.
My HPV test came back with both low risk HPV (type 6,11) and High Risk Type (not sure of number type) so I changed my lifestyle. I wasn't doing anything bad, but I just PUMPED UP the vitamins - especially the immune boosting kind (folic acid (BUT not TOO much folic acid, or else you will just HELP the virus duplicate), MUSHROOMS (shiitake, reishi), Vitamin C, etc..... I went back for my next Pap and it was NORMAL. I was 24/25 yrs old.
My paps were normal for EVERY year (mind you, I may have skipped a year because of laziness), but through 27, 28, 29 and 30 - ALL pap smears normal. In the meantime - EVERY single one of my girlfriends was diagnosed with HPV. Literally EVERY one of them. One while pregnant, one after giving birth, etc - EVERY single one. We ALL talked to each other about it because we had one close friend that actually got cervical cancer and beat it! She is NOW HPV negative (she gets tested every 6 months b/c of her past cancer history and her HPV counts are SO LOW that her tests come back negative! She has 2 beautiful children with NO issues). So - fast forward to 32 years old. I am in a monogamous relationship for 2 years and he asks me to get on "the pill." I have my pap (normal) and get a prescription. After 2 weeks on it, I am driving to work and I feel a strange, almost "buzzing" feeling down on the side of my vagina. It catches my attention so much that when I get to work, I HAVE to check what it is. THERE I see the SAME red mark beginning as I did 8 or so years ago. Within 2 days, I have 2 TINY (the size of pencil tip - literally can be missed so easily) points. A few days later, they are keratonized and darker and are for sure warts. I am SURE it had to do with the hormonal influx the pill laid on my body and I am terrified that this little silent monster has come back. I am freaking out because I NEVER get sick and consider my immune system high.
I constantly visit these web sites - looking for a homeopathic solution. I have come to this web site looking for some HOPE, some positive story. Some reassurance that all I read about your own immune system clearing the virus. I have faith in my body and keep wishing....but they do NOT shrink!! I still have not told my boyfriend because I figure he has already been exposed to this as 90% of people have..... I feel SO unsexy, ashamed, embarrassed - terrible. I came to these sites and read about "Tea Tree Oil" and try it - amazed, it DOES shrink them almost before your eyes. I have found this to ONLY be visual and temporary. I put retin-a as I have read it works - NOTHING. I go on vacations, weddings, parties, out of the country and LIVE with those two tiny secrets in my panties. Always covering them while being intimate...inspecting my partner for anything "new" (NEVER finding ANYTHING).
FINALLY - after "getting serious" about beating this virus and almost being MAD at my own body for not clearing it by itself within 3 months as all I read says it should, I start doing all the home procedures and here is my experience and what FINALLY worked (WITHIN days):
#1)Apple Cider Vinegar - THIS WORKS. It definitely SHRINKS them, but unless your own immune system kicks in, it just makes them swell for a couple days, then shrinks for a couple days then they just grow back to the same size just a little lighter in color. The skin around the area will get irritated. Personally, I think this is good because I did see a significant improvement, but it took 2 weeks to be barely noticable, but not COMPLETELY gone.
#2) Tea Tree Oil - THIS WORKS. I had a beginning of one on a more "mucous membrane" type skin (vulva) and within a day of my resting a soaked q-tip on this for a continuous 15 minutes or so, it shrank up and went away.I have tried the tea tree on the harder wart type (keratonized on skin and didn't work so great - only visually makes them appear as if they are shrinking - this appears to be more of an optical illusion b/c the tea tree oil leaves a reflective residue that makes them appear smaller only momentarily)
#3) IMMUNE BOOSTING VITAMINS - THIS is what HEALED me literally within 3 days. I have had these 2 tiny warts for over a YEAR.
I went to a local health food store and bought what is supposed to be the strongest immune booster (can't put brands or they will erase it) = was NOT cheap (cost $65), but after literally 3 days of taking it - I came home today to find ALL of them COMPLETELY FLAT. I had to REALLY search to find where they were!!! I was SO ecstatic with happiness and promised myself I would write about my experience as I always came here looking for a little comfort and a positive ending.
LAST NOTES:
If you've been diagnosed w/ HPV - please know that you are NOT alone. Probably 8 out of 10 of your friends have it too, but have either cleared the virus through their immune system or when they went for their pap smear had already cleared it so it came back normal. Don't be upset with your current partner because any way you slice it - you would be exposed to the virus as EVERYONE but NUNS (look it up) get exposed. JUST like a flu or cold - your body WILL clear it from your system. All of the numbers are in your favor - but you CAN HELP it clear by taking IMMUNE BOOSTING vitamins and food. Among ALL the research I did, here are my top 3 effective picks:
#1) Reishi/Shiitake/Maike MUSHROOM blend (this is a STRONG immune booster. Try opening a pill, mixing it with a little oil and placing right ON the wart/skin area.) Don't get a cheap brand - you have to get a brand that is tested for concentration, etc. I can't name brands, but usually whole foods will carry respectable, tested brands.
#2)Ellagic acid - IN THE FORM of ellagic-TANNINS (VERY important - to be tannins as they for the HPV killing ellagic acid in your stomach): You can get these by eating 2 handfuls of blueberries, pomegrantes, cherry's, acai (any DARK skinned berry) on an EMPTY stomach first thing in morning. (just google ellagic acid and hpv and you will see).
#3) Apple Cider Vinegar - This DOES work as it sort of irritates the skin to trigger an immune response. Definitely do it in conjunction of the first two suggestions.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
Re: ACV Instructions?

Please visit earthclinic.com. Look under GW's and ACV. There are tons of testimonials and free advice there. I am a female and I successfully rid myself of several large and painful areas in and around my bum area with AVC, Crushed aspirin and Vitamin E oil mixed into a paste. Start Day 1 with the ACV and the cottonball method as long as you can stand it...overnight preferably. I personally made it 3 hours before I had to move to the paste. -after the first inital soaking, straight ACV burns very much, so the paste burns less and is easier to leave on. In 2 days they washed off in the shower. It was amazing.
This is what I did.
40 aspirin crushed to a very fine powder (plain, cheap, preferably not coated
1 tsp Vitamin E oil...I popped a few Vitamin E geltabs.....others use Castor oil.
1tsp ACV...and several drops as you go till you have a toothpaste like consistancy.
Apply liberally, cushion with clean cottonballs. It doesn't scar or damage the good tissue at all. It may swell a bit. Yes, it's uncomfortable and you'll be a little sore- but the site and feel of your normal skin again is well worth the torture.
Keep things clean. Dab with Hydogen peroxide before treatments. I washed my body everytime I used the bathroom. And would just re-apply. I applied lots of Vitamin E oil to sooth before and after avc applications and I used a first aid cream to heal during the time I took a break from the ACV.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
Re: ACV Instructions?

I had 1 medium size flat wart and 2 smaller warts on the shaft of my penis. I was skeptical about apple cider vinegar, but i tried it. I held a cottonball soaked in ACV on the warts for about 20 minutes 2 or 3 times a day for a week. towards the end it burned so bad it was hard to take the pain, but i wanted to get rid of the warts badly. They eventually turned white. I waited they scabbed up and disappeared. It has been 2 moths with no sign so far. I am very pleased.
Quite a good link. Side effects etc of Apple cider vinegar and warts
I just has warts appear 2-3 days ago.. I am still not officially diagnosed , but i am pretty sure what it is (HPV)
I have a practical question about the ACV treatment :
WHEN is the best time to apply it ? during the "appearance" period ? when they start to grow ? when you feel itchy the first time ?or should one let them first develop and then apply the ACV treatment ?
I have another question, since I am not in the US , and labeling can be misleading , does Apple Cider Vinegar is equal to any Apple vinegar ? or does the "cider" have some special properties that makes it unique ? also, what is the bottled concentration to be used (it is usually displayed on the label)
@retrogirl, I must admit the first time I read about apple cider vinegar and tried it (20min soak), It didnt work for me. They took a while to get to the size they were and I expected it to disappear afterwards. But It made them swell and they got bigger and irritated and unbelievably sore, (I didnt give it a proper try) I then went and froze them off, they just came back with a vengeance. I tried a lot of those guaranteed cures for HPV (clear natural, wartol, warticon ) and it felt like I was at the end of my thither so I gave the cheapest home remedy out there another chance. Thus I started to treat them every day 1-1 hours soak and a week later they had fallen off and I had blisters from overdoing it but they were gone. So now if I feel a bump I just wipe it twice a day with an ACV cotton. Disappearing just as quickly as that bump started (without overdoing it). So in reality still waiting for my immune system to kick in whilst I take care of the symptoms. I respect you &your doctors opinion but the proof is in the pudding and there are so many success stories that the pharmaceutical companies and their employees (the doctors) wouldnt want to admit due to the money etc being involved. Im not claiming this to be the cure for HPV but it sure gets rid of the gross /weird little buggers. Cheap, accessible and with the least side effects. Considering there are people out there with no means to be able to go for expensive treatments and are willing to be uncomfortable for a small while. Ive been subscribed aldara but I still have the whole prescription unused as I done a bit of research and I am just too scared of the risks entailed. Im opting for a cheap 2 bottle of apple cider vinegar and a bottle of vit e oil. Also realizing that I need to change my lifestyle and habits in order for my body to fight this virus. Vs 200 Aldara prescriptions+ etc etc. And have been able to keep them under control.
Im so happy you have beaten the virus! What live style changes and treatments did you try?
@Obmerk99 its easy to spot those buggers (wart) a mile away and if youre sure then it probably is one (especially with the freaking itching). I would recommend going to a doctor and getting it out of the way. Make 100% sure, it might just not be and save your life!
The itching is the virus that starts eating at the healthy skin, creating the growth of the wart itself. As soon as you start to feel the itching you would also be able to feel a little bump. 5-20 min of acv will whiten them and swell them a bit. Thats the surest thing to me that it is what it seems to be a wart in the making.
I usually start treating as soon as I feel the itch and see the bump. The treatment is shortest and at its easiest (not too much of a burn). But do use vit e oil and some type of antiseptic ointment (I love bactroban and the succulent called bulbinella).
I know labelling can be so much different as I currently reside in Africa. As long as it has something similar to Apple Cider Vinegar. Apple vinegar seems fine; think its exactly the same thing. The 5% acidity is the thing thats important and if its organic so much better. So try health food stores.
@hjk00 after the warts fall of and the initial blood yep youre right and its a wound. It will heal depending on your body and how you treat it. First antiseptic ointment, then soak a cotton wool full of Vit E and stick it there. Will help with healing process and minimize/ prevent scarring.
Hope this helps.x
I'm considering even though not too legal at the moment (holding thumbs for the daggacouple.co.za challenging the co court) to start juicing cannabis leaves with my morning juice as it helps fight cancer it might just give my immune system the boost to fight this virus leaving me to take care of the symptoms.

or am i just reaching the point of desperation, grabbing at straws?
