Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I was just reading some older advice posts and came across one that said to avoid ibuprophen "Advil". My Dr's Nurse Practitioner who is over seeing my treatment told me to avoid Tylenol. She said it was to hard on the liver??? So I went out and bought ibuprophen. Eeks now I am a little concerned. I stopped taking my arthritis medicine because it is an NSAID so that I could take ibuprophen through the day for the headaches. She even told me to take the arthritis med if I needed it. Sounds like I should try to stay away from both. Thoughts please and thanks in advanced.

Why one or the other. My doctor once told me naproxen is much better and is not stored in liver. Goes direct to kidneys. Goldy. Aleve and stuff like that are forms of naproxen.

Well I got TWO Dr.'s to agree on Ibuprofen. My Gastro AND my P.C.P. both said that I could take 320 mg at a time ..six hours apart..not to exceed 24 hours. I'm cirrhotic too..stage 4.

Yes tylenolis BAD BAD bad for us do not take it. But there is arthitis meds out there that does not have tylenol in it. I took meds for about 3 years and it messed up my sysytum I have to take a rare liquid laxitive to keep my Amonia level down. And will have to take them till I die. All because a dotor didnt take it surious enough to put me on somethinmg without tylenol in it. So my advice if he cant give you what you need which is something without tylenol then ya need to het another doctor. As soon as he changed my meds I started feeling better. I had gooton to where I threw up everyday and was vary dizzy and such. Later LIsten a lot of our stuff we have to kindof do ourselfs. They just dont know enough about Hep c I mean the gereal practictioners. Later

Oh lady bug I meant to tell you I dont think advil has ibuprfene in it but I know tylenol does. So read the bottle ok Later HuG!!! :-)

tylenol has acetaminaphen, advil has ibprophen. My doc said i could take an ibp in am & pm as needed. I have stg 3-4 cirrosis and am on tx.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
