I'm so sorry - I would be freaking out and frustrated too - I always assume anything I fax to someone is never forwarded to the referred physicians - no one will check to make sure the referred dr actually makes an appointment - when I call they don't have any idea what I'm talking about - if I fax something before my appointment - it's not in my file and they can't find it - I accept how things are and if anything is sent or is there - I consider it as a wonderful thing - I have copies of all drs notes and applicable test results - someone told me expectations are planned resentments

I believe the new special pharmacy will have your meds delivered right when you need them (fingers crossed) they may be delivered overnight - on the day of - but I believe they understand how serious a disruption in Tx would be - you'll be climbing the walls - but it will happen - in their world 7 days may be a long time

Try to believe and check on the status Wednesday Friday and Monday - good luck

I agree that you should talk to a supervisor and your doctor. Document that a disruption of treatment could result in treatment failure. My mail order pharmacy repeatedly makes mistakes with my meds and my mother's meds. I recently spoke with a supervisor and it made a big difference in straightening out problems with 3 separate prescriptions..

Oh, this is so not right. Take that Xanax! And remember, the specialty pharms make big bucks off these meds, so I'm sure they will be working hard to get this fixed. I'd be on top of them twice a day though. You've called your doc, right? If not, it would be a good idea maybe to do so - he (or she) will not let such a thing happen, a snafu that causes you to not have your meds.

I know how happy (RELIEVED) I was last week when my last 28 days of S&O were delivered. So to have THIS happen to you - who wouldn't be freaked? Jeez......

I want you to know, beachy, I am seriously praying and hoping that you can resolve this ridiculous mess today. Complete incompetence caused it. This is so f**cked up - to happen at this point in your tx - we HAVE to take all the meds. Calling in the heavy hitters - like Raphael, ArchAngel of Healing - Pope Francis too (LOL) - I think he's a heavy hitter and I am for sure not Catholic.

I've called my doctor. There's not a thing they can do about how insurance handles this. They will check with the pre-cert people and see if they've ever encountered anything like this before and see how it was handled. All she said I could do was to hound them till they get this done and overnighted to me. She was pretty appalled, and said she wished they had samples to bridge any tx gap, but there was nothing of the sort because of the cost and regulations. Fricken overpriced insurance. If they wanted to dispense it from THEIR pharmacy service, then they should have from the damn start! I totally do not need this stress. On top of everything going on, my body decided it was time to bring another virus to life, and decided to gift me with a nice shingles outbreak. Fun times over here, let me tell you!

Yes insurance have their own preferred pharmacies! they are sleeping together to get the most out of us. That wasn't nice of me, was it?

My insurance allows me some choice, but they are going steady with Walmart & I would get the best deals if I used that pharmacy instead of the independent family that has been here since the sponge divers came over from Greece.

I was reading where a few people had delayed treatment by a week after their meds arrived, so that they could buy a cushion of a week in case of these kinds of events. I kind of wish I had thought of that...

How many "servings" do you have left? Enough through next Tuesday? This so sux, beachy. Your nurse or whoever this is WILL hound this, yes? But you have to too - I know you know that. And you found this out when you called your EX specialty pharm for a refund! No one was considerate enough to let you know! OMG. It doesn't help you for me to sit here and be upset right along with you - I just wish I could figure out what you can do. I would not trust ANYONE to take care of this for me - I'd be doggin' it like a bloodhound on scent. That said, your nurse person is the key here, it seems. She AND YOUR DOCTOR. They know you have to have these meds - no ending of tx at 8 weeks.

beachy - actually that happened to me but I didn't plan it. I had my meds in hand at the end of January then got hit with a huge dose of bronchitis and had a tooth go bad and had to have it extracted. So I ended up not starting tx until 17 Feb. I had my NEXT 28 days of meds about 10 days later (pharma called ME - they wanted their $). My last "set" came a week ago, and I won't break into them until April 15. So it's worked out great for me. But that was just a fluke - and those who plan it that way are SMART. But what did we know? I wish you had done that too. Alas, this happened. I am sure it's gonna be okay; you'll get them in time - but the agony of dealing with this is just abominable since "THEY" messed up - more than one person. It's awful to feel frustrated and powerless. I'm hangin' with ya!

Kcaseytn, I have been very nasty to the incompetent staff @ my Dr's office. Man! I had my old treatment records faxed last year well guess what they "never arrived". I called the old place - they had the day, time, & number of the fax. No problem, we start again. Told Dr office to call me when they arrive. The following week not heard from them yet, called, "no they never faxed them". Immediatly called former dr, yes they did on Mar 27. Back & forth till @ 3pm, the nurse calls to tell me they were never faxed. I said yes they were (again) to the NURSE"S fax # and I'll wait on the phone till you find them. Oh ah few minutes later guess what. We found the TWELVE PAGES fax they sent on Mar 27. Dah dingbats.
Those records are extremely important, they prove SOC did not work for me which will help me get the new meds
