Because I like the expressions that come over peoples
faces when they don't know how to reply to it.
It's classic.
Josi
Josi, I've used the "I feel like shit" comment a lot of times too or I feel like someone just pushed me down the stairs. I remember getting sick and then my mom got the same cold I had and she was like "Omg how did you deal with this, I hurt from my head to my toes!" I said "Mom, after going through treatment anytime I get sick, well it feels like a walk in the park in comparison." And it's true, at least now when I have the flu or a cold, I can handle it a lot easier.
Andnicole I though you would come up with some creative responces
Yah, it's true Nicole. After going through tx 3x's I have become much more able to tolerate certain illnesses and symptoms then I ever would've done before. In fact, my husband says he doesn't know how I stand some of the side effects of my cirrhosis and put up with them. I use the same comment that you said to your Mom. I guess that's something good to say about going through treatment hell, huh??!!! :)
Mikeinthedesert: I never let a doctor say that they can't do anything more for me....anymore. If they do, I'm out the door looking for someone new. I find that it's usually a doctor that doesn't want to deal with you anymore that comes up with that comment. In that case, we're better off without them anyhow. So many doctors just want to deal with patients that just have the standard flu, sore throat, etc. type of illnesses. If you're a complicated patient, well they just don't have time for you...because you actually make them work for their money. Spend your money wisely and get a new doctor. You're paying for their services afterall. They should be providing!
Hmm.... Kid Rock just doesn't make it with his version of that song. Bad Company will always rule on that one. In my humble opinion, "ReportAbuse420". :)
*hugs*
