Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I take B Complex 100 mg, B12 1000 mcg, Folic Acid 2000 (these were prescribed by hepatologist), Vitamin D 1000 and Calcium 1000.
Deal with your side effects (especially the mental ones) as soon as they arise and if whatever the doctor prescribes isn't doing the job, get something different. I'm on anti-anxiety/depressants and sleeping pills. I wouldn't have made it this far without them and I was adamant that I was not going to take them before I started treatment.
Drink 3 litres of water day. Rest. Make the commitment to put yourself first during treatment.
