It starts first with a lot of exercise. High energy, aerobic-type exercise. I've noticed a direct correlation with me. I've always been energetic and athletic, thus I never gained weight. But I've stopped doing the things I've always done (and taken for granted) and now, coincidentally, I've gained weight. And no, my diet hasn't changed; I always eat like crap. It's just now that crap has nowhere to go....
Uhhh, that last sentence sounded kinda bad....
The warmth I feel beside me is slowly fading
Would she hear me if I calls her name?
Would she hold me if she knew my shame?
There's always something different going wrong
The path I walk's in the wrong direction
There's always someone fucking hanging on
Can anybody help me make things better.
Your tears don't fall they crash around me.
Her conscious calls the guilty to come home.
Your tears don't fall they crash around me.
Her conscious calls the guilty to come home
-Bullet For My Valentine
Yes I know these lyrics sound emo as fuck, but I love this song.
8:00 drop off daughter at school
come home and eat breakfast and get son dressed and ready
10:00 doc appointment
come home, switch out laundry, do dishes, eat some lunch
12:30 appointment to enroll son in pre-k
run to hyvee to get grocery shopping done, run home, throw everything inside, switch out laundry, grab stuff to mail.
2:15 arrive at post office, cant find one address, mail the part that has address
run to pharmacy to pick up and drop off scripts
3:00 pick up daughter and friend from school. drop off friend, run back to post office to mail box with the found address
come home and daughter immediately comes in and knocks the brand new bottle of olive oil onto the kitchen floor where it shatters. daughter starts crying, i slit my finger open picking up broken glass, have spent the last 45 minutes trying to clean up olive oil off the laminate floor, vacuuming up glass, and then mopping up everything.
it is 4:44, and guess what? running out the door again to take daughter to taekwondo...10 bucks says that hubs is going to want me to pick up more olive oil on the way home. wont get home until 6:30. jump right on dinner and homework.
kiddos in bath at 7:15-7:40
8:00 kiddo bed time.
okay...remind me why i am not losing weight?
And sorry about the olive oil. If it's extra virgin, that's such a waste!
No, really, if you're stressed, then your body is just creating cortisol overload, which leads to weight gain. And if you're excercising and building muscle, then you're toning up and getting healthy and the pounds aren't going to fall off, but that's okay because you'll be all in shape! For me, I really can't exercise very much, so I HAVE to keep track of my calories in order to lose a few pounds. It's not fun, but it sure makes me aware of how many damned calories are in my food so that I eat a lot less!
