What are the side affects from the shingles shot? I had chicken pox as an adult. They were pretty bad. Then I gave them to my son before he had his chicken pox shot...his were even worse.

No side effects to the shingles vaccine except possibly a small rash around the injection sight. He said if that happens and I'm going to be around anyone who did not have chicken pox to just cover the rash with band aids and wear a long sleeve shirt. It was being around my niece's twin babies that had me concerned since they won't get the chicken pox vaccine until they're about 14 months old.

The down side is, it's $250 and most insurances won't cover it until you're 60 years old. There's so many people around here that have shingles I wasn't going to wait until I'm 60 to get the vaccine. The doc's office is going to submit it to my insurance company to see if they pay for it or not.

my doctor friends said the shot is highly highly recommended, you don't wanna get shingles , yikes

home from my first night of class. It wasnt as bad i was expecting, but definitely not as good as i was hoping. I am the 4th oldest in the class. There are only 3 guys and 20 girls. Half of them are going for nursing. I am probably right in the middle of the class in terms of attractiveness. maybe a little on the lower side. I sit in the front, so i couldnt really look around too much. my professor is pretty cool, but kinda all over the place. i have my first quiz on thursday.

Got bored of healing on WoW so I am lvling a fury warrior. I think I may lvl through quests instead of doing dungeons.

It's a free kindle book, or might be free cause I got amazon prime, idk but either way if it isn't free for you, buy it and read it. I am on chapter 11 having started earlier today while waiting for the doctor. It's very good.

omg. my daughter is pissing me off. she was running around and having a big ol attitude last night, but this morning? she says that her stomach is hurting and her head is hurting and she cant go to school. I want to tell her to just tough it out, but last time i did that she ended up calling me from school at 1:30 crying and was running a fever! I have a funeral today and cant just leave in the middle to pick her up from school, but i am going to be PISSED if she starts acting all normal in a couple hours!

i am back from my son's speech class. went for a jog during. i REALLY didnt want to, but i made myself. my stamina is getting a lot better. i am able to go longer distances at a time. I did about a mile and 3/4 in just under 20 minutes. I dont know how that calculates out speed wise? around 10 miles an hour? meh. something like that. I still want to make my goal of an 8 minute mile without stopping to walk at all! I was supposed to make it by new years, but that totally didnt happen. I guess it will have to be added to my new years resolution for THIS year.

i am going to switch out the laundry, get some hot tea, and sit on my bootie for a little bit before i have to study some more for my quiz tonight. everyone keep your fingers crossed that i get AT LEAST 90%!
