I'm back in a relationship after allowing too many years to go by. I'm super nervous about getting on top but I don't want my boo to do most of the work, & get bored w/the same old... So I did switch recently but I live in the dorms & these beds are just not the business (super loud) so we swapped. He says take my time but I don't want to push him away but I'm struggling with my nerves although I'm sure he'd appreciate me just doing it. Is that a turn off to guys although I know they like being in control? I'm sure they may like a woman taking charge sometimes.

Anyway, about your issue, I get it - I actually really don't enjoy being on top, either, and will only do it I'm "put" there. Unless your guy is really asking for it, I would just forget about that position for now. Thinking about it and being anxious isn't going to help anything. Just keep it all good and spicy in other ways and enjoy yourselves.
Anyway, I like pretty much any position where I'm not "on display" or in control.
I am the same way I dont have an o either and usually he doesn't last long enough when I am on top. blah
The only thing I don't like a few woman have done is this partial pull out. Most women don't do this, and the two that have seem to have trouble orgasming... those two thoughts might be related.
The pull out so far that the head of the penis is in the hood, then roll back on. While that might sound sexy, the pelvis can, if they aren't dead on, catch and then the penis takes the full force of the thrust, bending it in half.
I know the feeling, and when a woman starts to do that... bye bye erection. Prompting a couple of woman to conclude that I don't like a woman to be on top... or that I don't find her attractive.
if THAT isn't happening, I love a woman to be on top, especially with the kind of full body contact where I can feel her breasts running up and down my chest where she sneaks kisses between thrusts.

Well, you don't HAVE to sit upright you know? You could lean down on his chest like Dave and Lisa said. He can still be the dominant by wrapping his arms up under your arms and grasping your shoulders, using that leverage to thrust at his own discretion. In that fashion, you might orgasm AND satisfy the topsy-turvy need.
Problem solved! Now I must go and....do things....
