Ok, so Artchick had a good question....what is the difference between a hook up or fwb? I want to go further and know if there are any set rules some may go by? Is anyone looking to hook up looking no further for anything more?
For those of us away from the dating scene for so long.....times have changed so much. In the day of instant gratification but fear of stds or worse, what are the unsaid guidelines? In the old days, third date was the charm. Nowadays I worry I may need a hazmat suit (which will definitely not compliment the lingerie.lol)
Seriously though...casual dating does sound good, but if we are older, is that expected, frowned upon...??? Once I am finally free again (if I am able to muster up the courage to be myself and step back into life again) I don't want to be a prude...or a ho. Any input would be appreciated here....

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot. Got home, dropped keys. So now I have a missing debit card, missing keys. A full cartload to unload and put away. I got everything put away.Dumped purse for a...

I have toys. So the ones I have not used or need any more, are gone in the trash. One of my toys is just a regular hand held massager with an attachment. The other is a real insertable toy. This morning I ordered a new toy with attachments. It is small and has a brush like attachment and the other looks like a rose with a tiny tongue. I'll get it in about 2 weeks. Rechargable and...

Okay, the one thing that I've told my kids is this: That they should have a discussion with any opposite sex partner that they have about what will happen if there's a pregnancy (abortion, adoption, keep child)...any option is fine with me, as long as the two of them agree to it.
I don't think it's fair to ask a partner opposed to an abortion to have one.
I don't think that it's fair to ask a partner to be a parent that doesn't want to be (and even more unfair to the child).
Same with adoption.
So...discussing and agreeing ahead of time, seems wise. I did that 30 years ago...I know it's possible.
i think you have something there though.....it would be good to find someone on the same page. (whatever that may be),
I've always had the view that dating for a few months meant that if he was just after me to use me for a one night stand I couldn't be called a ho. If a guy can't spend a few months treating me good and seducing me with great foreplay then he's not my type. And the process usually weeds out the bad guys before I've added another notch to my bed
If you see loss loads of manipulation threats promises of filling all your hearts desires for the future and telling off and anger for not having sex sooner.... Then that's not my kind of guy
My kinda guy can keep it in his pants, remain composed and nice and put the effort in to value me and our connection before he gets into these knickers
I have however had life long issues with sex, I'm pretty sure that if I had desires and urges and orgasms so easy like most people, I'd be a third date person too
Fingers crossed for both of us. :)
Good luck...Ron
become far too naughty myself. lol)
Your wrong
My point being that I want a man who actually wants to go out long term and by pursuing you over many months he is proving that he wants you or exposing his bad character
All great stuff
Someone advised me once to go for a recently divorced man, some of them don't like the prospect of a lonely future and have been working their "living with others" muscles so have often been trained great by the ex over the years! Then they know the value of a good relationship and the pain of it going wrong and have a better idea how to set up home with you!!!
I hear that comforting a man during his divorce is a great way to make da moves! Lol x
