hello everyone I’m looking for some advice. My husband and I have been together for 11 years and my mom have never been happy about it. Back story he was married before and havev2 kids he pay child support for so my mom feel like money wise he can’t provide and take care of me because he can pay all the bills on his own. Well we live down south our rent is over 1,000 a month plus car insurance water light phone and more plus 3 kids well my husband only make like 13 a hr but together we can pay our bills I just graduated so I’m looking for a job. My mom always trying to find a reason for us to fight. Our 4 year old won’t listen to anything we say it’s always I’m going to Granny or I’m telling my granny and instead of correcting her she let it goes on. Now in Jan my husband and I wanted to get married again and i asked my mom how she feels about it. She said she feels like we shouldn’t got married in the first place and I’m trying to get her to see money isn’t everything. My mom is a control freak and the min she can’t tell you what to do it’s a problem. I’m stressed out because I’m tired of always fight with her do anyone know another way I can go by talking to her

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

If you know she doesn't like your husband and you know she is controlling and argumentative, don't engage her in conversations about problematic issues.
She doesn't have to love 'your' husband .... I wouldn't discuss your marriage with your mother at all if this is how she reacts
Why should he have to 'take care of you'?.... You take care of one another and that's nice I think.... Big hug....xo
The fact that she is not turning around your four year old is a problem. The child's behavior is making me wonder who is in control of your life and your home. You're four year old think's it grandmother and I'm betting that's not far from the truth. It's unfair for a child to grow up with this kind of uncertainty. Children need firm boundaries and until grandmother can get on the same page, I believe you need to put some distance between grandmother and the children. They need to see you and your partner as their parents and the final decision makers. You need to stop allowing your mother to talk you into seeing things her way. I'll bet she does this so much that she doesn't realize how far out of bounds she is at this point. Choke off all the small ways she interferes and the larger ways will be more obvious as inappropriate. Only you can stop this. Put on your big girl panties and take control of your family.
I don’t know exactly why she is doing this ..
there are so many women who don’t even have husbands . You are together, you have a child, he works .. I feel like nothing he does will ever be good enough.
I hope that she will get over this and stop making it so hard for you
That said, money issues, insufficient funds, DO put a strain on any relationship. I wouldn't have any more kids if I were you two. As you can see, they're too expensive and some of them grow up to hate you. I'd get sterilized or use birth control religiously.
