ever have those monday blues? My mood is just so low this morning.
Im trying to keep the negative thoughts at bay, however, my mood is just making me feel icky. maybe I feel sad? not sure if Im overreacting over the fact that I feel I want "quality time" with my boyfriend. Just me and him, but he believes in quality time hanging out with other people "together"... They are my friends too but I have this itch, nagging voice saying how much I just want me and him to be alone. Oh gawd, I feel awful because it makes me feel needy. Though I have become how "needy" ever since I have this looming surgery over my head. And I get anxiety over "time" that I just want to spend time with my boyfriend because I feel during the healing process I wont be able to see him as much as I like. For a mutiple of reasons, my parents dont allow people over, so I probably wouldnt even get any visitors from friends, and especially my boyfriend (plus my relationship with my parents is a repressive one) and Id be in bed most days after surgery.
And today, I dont know what I was expecting, its a long weekend for us. And I did see my boyfriend yesterday but we were with friends hiking (kinda not the same feeling)... and I know we want to rest and all, but I have this terrible feeling in my stomach, when I asked my boyfriend "what are you doing today" and he replied "he needs the whole day to himself, to clean the house and stuff"...
am I overreacting? I feel awful because of need attention, do I have the right to feel sad? I hate how much it affects my mood.
sigh this could be my anxiety and insecruity though, but I cant help have these awful thoughts in my head, of how lonely this process is... I mean the process of waiting for surgery

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Anxiety and uncertainty are such a natural part of awaiting surgery that I have to wonder if this is a good time to be worrying about it. First things first. I'd get the surgery and recovery behind me before I worried about personal relationships. The surgery is a pretty big confusion, all by its lonesome.
But that is me. . .
Gentle support while you figure out what is right for you.
. Is there anyway that your folks will just allow people over post surgery so that you get some support??
I often use a time frame to evaluate my moods.... If a low mood goes on for a short period vs ongoing for weeks.... If it's ongoing then I think I may need some help
I think Arf gave some good advise...... xo
