My personal opinion is that some Adult films can be educational and a assistance to spicing up the love making. A lot of the main stream stuff that is out I find extremely degrading and some times brutal twords women so that would offencive to me. There are many films out there that are couples films. There are also a lot of strange fetish films out there too that would not be ok with me.
Lot of variables to consider before I'd say I'm not ok with it or it's not a big deal.
I would be really bothered a lot if my child for instance was in one... On top of that safe sex is never practiced in these films and I have no doubt that there's been a lot of disease passed within this industry ....To each his own though
No, I wouldn’t be okay with it. Personally, I don’t judge others that chooses to do so but for myself personally it's a deal breaker.
I feel that once you open up the Pandora's box at the beginning of a new relationship without fully knowing each other then it could turn out disastrous and there is no turning back. If you enjoy adult entertainment yourself then watching it together wouldn't be a problem. But do it because it's your decision, not to please a new partner.
Sex should be exciting and an act of pure bliss. There are other ways to spice up your sex life.
I see it being a problem if it was him watching some weird fetish type of stuff or watching it but neglecting me.
I've heard the argument before that "all men do that," be it watch porn, go to strip clubs, etc.
But like mostly anything, "everyone" does not do it.
I think what is most important is for both people in the relationship to communicate honestly about what they want to do, like to do/watch, etc, and come to some sort of mutual understanding.
It definitely can be a slippery slope and a source for consuming addiction for some, men or women.
I also am personally someone who thinks that in certain cases, strip clubs and porn contribute to skewed views and stereotypes of women. Not in all cases, but in some.
As with most things, being honest and open with a potential partner is the best policy, to avoid damage to the relationship.
And I don't think it's just degrading to women. It's degrading to men too, if you really just think through what is taking place on film, whether hardcore or not. I'm not saying this as a prude. I'm saying this as thinking about people who find themselves, and who kid themselves into, thinking such a personal, private act performed on camera, or working in a strip club, is somehow empowering or owning their sexuality. Those are the lies people tell themselves to deal with the fact that this is what they are doing for a living.
I think for people in the industry, it does skew their views on sex and relationships. Which means for people watching porn or going to strip clubs, it then kind of skews their view of sex and relationships too.
Anyway, You have to do and think about what you're comfortable with. If you don't want your partner watching porn, that's ok. If you don't mind, that's ok too.
