This community is dedicated to the challenges that gay men face, both between the partners in a relationship and from other influences (family, society, etc.). Find support and talk to others who may be facing the same challenges, and share your experience.
I live in Washington, DC and am involved with a faith community for LGBT Catholics.
I just learned that a long time member of our community recently lost his battle with depression, having taken his own life in recent days. Having struggled with depression myself, I just wanted to post something here to encourage anyone who might be feeling low, lost, abandoned, lonely, sad, or even suicidal to reach out and ask for help. People DO care and our lives ARE worth living, even if we momentarily cannot see past the present cloud that blocks the sun.
As they say, it WILL get better!
