Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Hi. I have several minor stomach issues that combine to make me miserable. One being gastritis. I also have migraines which manage to feed off gastritis and vise versa. I have a long history of anxiety that has not bothered me in many years. (I think). I have some form of stomach issue every day of my life, some worse than others. Dealing with something physical day after day wears a body down and I feel myself becoming depressed. Wow! that felt good just to say it!I take no medication for anxiety. I tried Xanax many years ago and decided it was not for me. I have had an extreme amount of stress in the past three years. I wonder why it takes about a month after the stress ends for gastritis to show up. Wouldn't it make more sense for gastritis to present its self during the stressful event? Yesterday was a bad day for me. I was sick all day with nausea and abdominal pain. Today I am very hungry but feel sort of out of it. I work on an as needed basis and haven't worked in a few weeks. I NEED to be at work but simply feel I cannot make it through a 12 hour shift at this time. It's good to be a part of a support group. Thanks for listening.

I am suffering from the inability to cope with ordinary every day things. From my housework to watching tv or reading a book. I get palpatations, nervousness, at the moment my heart is palpatating and all I am doing is typing this. I am so scared its silly, I just want to stay in bed and just get up for meals and coffee. Not that that is going to happen. At the moment I have my daughter...
Luckily, my bosses are awesome, and reduced my schedule at work, so I only have to work a few hours per day. I can use the rest of the time to rest and heal at home.
We've just got to hang there! Hope you feel better very soon!
I do hope all of you had good days today and have smiled :)
