Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
hi everyone
I'm glad to have found this group!
I gave birth to my baby in Jan this year. During my pregnancy I had sharp pains in my right side and was told it was just the baby laying on my kidney tubes! Before I was pregnant I was a heavy drinker!
my nAnna died when he was a week old and I felt very stressed and sad
when he was 2 months old I got very sick ( thought it was food poisoning first, then a parasite etc) eventually was admitted to hospital and all they could find on a ct scan was diverticulosis which is a bowel disease / it wasn't inflamed as such but because that's all they could find so they diagnosis me with that -gave me antibiotics ( which didn't work ) and a healthy diet! My symptoms were nausea, burning in ribs, fatigue and dizziness- After 2 months I felt a lot better and doctors started to tell me it wasn't diverticulitis after all and that I was fine now - don't know what it was!
Well I stupidly had a beer and a cider a day apart and it absolutely threw me back in to the worst illness ever! Sick, nausea, burning etc
i had an endoscopy 7 weeks ago and was diagnosed with some scattered Antral erosions ( gastritis ) and possible functional dyspepsia!
I have been eating nothing but health food since then , taking nexium twice a day 40mg

Not that that is going to happen. At the moment I have my daughter...
