What Hospital, in what city, and who was your doctor? What Surgery and on what day. How has your success gone so far? How much did you have to pay for your surgery, approx total price, did insurance cover it?

off both blood pressure meds, cholesterol med, and antidepressant. Still not willing to give up my cpap. but could stop using if I wanted to.
No complications of any kind, I am thrilled with the aftercare my program has given me and the great education and preparation beforehand.
My insurance paid 100% I had anthen blue cross blue shield
Total cost, $20,000.00

I am still pre op but I will be having my surgery at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland PA (just outside of Philadelphia). My insurance covers my surgery but I will have a $450 deductible and then I do have $35 co pays for any doctor visits.

Over 100lbs lost in first 6 months.
Had a hernia that popped out after the fat was gone that apparently had been there for a while, but that's all fixed up now.
My insurance covered the surgery completely which included all pre-care, visits, EKGs, endoscopy, sleep studies, etc. was $50,082.
Between breaking my foot and being out of exercise for 3 of those months, and having hernia surgery and no weight bearing exercise for 2 months, I feel I've done very well. It's been a life change and I feel strong in that resolve.
Met my goal about 25lbs ago and kept on going. Doctor and Nutritionist have me on 2000c a day to just try to maintain with the amount of activity. Who'd have ever thought 2000c a day of NON-JUNK would be maintenance after WLS???

Doc. Neil Floch Md. Fairfield County Bariatrics whom I rate A+++ in all facets of care that I received and am still receiving.
On Medicare(because I am an old fart) Full coverage I have supplemental insurance that covered the hosp deductable so other than paying for the pre op Optifast and copays for perscriptions I was fully covered

Off 2 kinds of insulin, metformin, cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure, diuretics and COPD medications
I had textbook perfect surgery and recovery, My insurance was Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (Federal Employee Program and they paid 90%. Hospital cost was 26,000. and doctor was 4000. I am totally thrilled with the results and my new life.

Lost 90 pounds total 29 lbs to my surgeon's goal weight

I had a copay of $00 total cost $35,000 but insurance took care of the rest since it was consider health related. I have PCOS and was considered border line diabetic.
No complications of any kind
I was completely covered by insurance because it is a Center of excelence.
My follow up was with Bernadett PA, then last visit with Dr. Johnson. From the religiuse lecture on my staple removal visit to the last apt where I was told to take a med listed on the sheet I handed him 2 min before my follow up was horrible. I start with my new bariatric doc in Aug.

No complications, but I now have High BP. Meds control it, but it sucks
Insurance covered about 19k, I owed $2400, but their financial assistance covered most of that
No complications, and I loved my whole team :)
Though I really don't like my insurance, Avmed, they are covering my surgery 100%, or so they say, we will see when the bills roll in.
And I will update you on the results, as my surgery is on Wednesday :-)
