Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...

For me... it is the one constant that I could always turn to to make mefeel better. I grew up in a very dysfunctional family... taught to not "bother" others with problems... taught when blossomed into a slapped together barely teen that any attention was not good. As a result, I retreated and put on some pounds... noone would look at a "fat" girl. When others disappoint or are not there.... ice cream always was (still is when I weaken or need to simply feel better... hell... feel something.)
I have been through alot in my life. Also have been fortunate to understand the hows and whys. Sad thing is , I now realize I have alot to offer, but because of some extra pounds cannot trust or believe anyone would even want me. Kinda sad that what once provided comfort now provides me a life sentence... of insecurity and doubt.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

You have a lot to offer, and the world needs a lot right now. Start offering without being too focused on what comes back at you, for the time being. See what happens. Don't hide behind your fear and let things pass you by.
You are right though. At work especially, reaching out and sharing conversation and pleasantries does breed more kindness. I am lucky to have that small glimmer to hold on to right now. People can be very kind.
The biggest fears I had from the biggest challenges I faced, turned into my greatest triumphs and they will with you also. You just need alot of support to help you overcome your fears. Throughout our lives, we build traps for ourselves that we have a hard time getting out of because we are afraid of..."The shadows!" Words that people say to us that have no power at all but when we give them our power, we make ourselves "victims" so that we can blame someone else for the dis ease that we feel. That's how we create our own hell!

That’s held through for me. I’m the most confident flawed man I know! Lol.
Hang in there friends.
