Wasn't it Monday just yesterday?
So, all, how's everyone holding up?
I'm... holding. Up, maybe not. Just holding.
Pest Removal: Don't feed birds, you won't get animals.
Me: *is he effing kidding, I live next to the woods, I get 'em if I don't put out food!*
Plumber: Your toilet won't fit
Me: *Nice try, lazy-ass*
Chimney Guy: We can't recommend you use it with this crack in the tiling.
Me: "OK, enough! It's not tiled, it's a segmented terra cotta shaft! Get outta the way! That's not a tile, that's where two ssegments join! And of courose it's got some superficial cracks! It's older than ME! But it is NOT tiled! If you can't get that right, then get out!"
Hubby: That was harsh.
Me: Look up the chimney. That isn't tiled. If he's lyin', I'm firin'.
Chimney Guy: But...
Me: You'll be paid for cleaning, but not for scamming. Please leave my house. (Secretly, I'm yelling MOVE YOUR LYING ASS.)
After, Hubby picked a fight, and I pointed out taht 1. HIS electrician was wrong about something that was *easily checked* ---- 2. HIS choice of plumber is a lazy ... 3. HIS father didn't have him pulling wire and helping install HVAC and plumbing when he was 7-20 years old, so do you think *maybe* he could give me the respect of knowing my shit?
His reply was that If Icould do it, he wouldn't hire people.
Ouch. Right in the fibro -----
So, yeah, I'm less than amused. I'm so frigging frustrated. I've got over 15 years in construction and building, and while I let pros handle things, I'm not gonna let 'em rip me off!!!
.... *sigh*....
Rant over. Anyone else need a hug? ((((((((((((FIBRO FAM))))))))))))))))

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...
Started off the day with more diarrhea. This time I brought home stuff to give her fluids here, so I did that after her walk. Still haven’t gotten her eating(she ate last night at least) but I only got her to take the diarrhea meds a few minutes ago (they’re chewable and not easy to break so I waited to see if she’d eat them willingly. I know she’ll probably eat something fairly soon so I’ll just keep trying every hour or so. I’m beyond exhausted and feeling down, and I’m in a lot of pain. It’s another day of possible rain and that’s not helping, neither is pms. I must sound like a broken record but I wish I could just sleep all weekend. Unfortunately I have to go grocery shopping, do my cooking, cleaning and laundry, make lunches etc. I should try to do some gardening too, I have a bunch of bulbs that have come in and need to be planted. That’s questionable at best, I think. I havent even figured out where half of them are going to go.. Even pulling a few supplies out of the shed feels like a monumental task right now. But for certain things, if I don’t do it soon, I won’t be able to get it done before the mosquitoes really come out.
Mom is getting out for a car ride today, so i hope that helps i am going stir crazy been 2 weeks since i been even for a ride!
Leo-- Five years in construction supply and 15 remodeling our own house. Husband is a mechanical engineer who maintains large manufacturing sites. We rarely hire contractors and most ghost us when they realize we aren't your average homeowner. We clean our own chimney after just such an incident.
We did have a stainless steel liner installed in our chimney due to the condition of the original liner. Maybe that's an option?
Miki-- Sorry about the diarrhea. About 12 years ago all if our dogs-- 3 at the time-- came down with a stomach bug. My husband came home from work to diarrhea running down the wall behind the dog crates. I feel your pain. (We had to rip out the carpet and woodwork in that room.)
Angela Jo -- Am not doing so well myself. Smart move relocating things to your night stand. Enjoy your ride (which is an expensive date these days)!
I might have some kind of stomach bug. Horrible cramping not related to Aunt Flo, who also happens to be in town. Motley and I are huddled under the electric blanket deciding if we are going to be productive today. Clayton is here too, just not as excited by the blanket. So far this morning I have been protected from the mailman and the neighbors garbage man, and someone who drove by with really crappy taste in music. :). Hugs to all !
We are supposed to get rain/snow today. It is overcast and on the crisp side outside.
I went to the fish fry last night again to appease my mother. It wasn't very busy which was fine with me. We came out to find a gorgeous rainbow at one end of the parking lot. And, my partner enjoyed his fish dinner. I had no kitchen clean up which was a win for me.
Not much else going on. I kind of watched the 50's SiFi thriller "The Day the Earth Stood Still" as I worked on things in the kitchen. I might do some genealogy.
Leo - You didn't deserve that swipe from your Hubby. He should be grateful that you can spot a bullsh*tter when you see one. I'm sorry that happened.
Miki - I hope that Miki's guts have settled down by now. And that you have decided to forgo gardening for some rest. I can't even pick up sticks in the yard yet because it is so wet.
AngelaJo - I'm glad that you are getting out for a bit. That should help. And that the Medrol seems to be kicking in.
PuppyMom - Sorry to read that you are not feeling good today. Sometimes. just holding still/not doing anything is the way to go.
Shoutout to Merry, Milily, Penni, LilMissy, Zombie, PainedOne, Twin and Autumn.
Another cool, rainy , gloomy day. My body has had enough of this weather.
The great thing about the weekends for me is no appointments. Yay. I am looking forward to the day when I am done with PT and the other appointments slow down.
I am finally less painful today from my massage I had on Wednesday. I actually feel a little looser from it . PT was extra rough yesterday because of the pain I still had from the massage.
I have chores to do on and off over the weekend. Also hoping to finish the limited series Godless on Netflix.
Has anyone here ever had dry needling as a treatment? My PT gal suggested it .
Miki i hope Miki is feeling better!
Leo Yup i live in the woods on a farm, there will be animals (mainly mice! ) where you do not want them! Occasionally red squirrels in the attic !
Puppymom i hope you feel better!
Milily I hope you take it easy this weekend and enjoy your netflix!
Fantod Dont over do it this weekend! OMG i miss pizza SOOO Bad!
Monday thru thurday is going to be rain but today was beautiful nad warm and sunny!
I have laundry working and have done some paperwork. I did some genealogy yesterday. Discovered that a distant member of the family married someone who died building the Burma railway for the Japanese during WWII. It was especially sad because it wasn't long after that the war in Pacific theater ended. The 1957 movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" clearly illustrated the Japanese brutality towards POWs while the railway was being built. My partners father served in the Philippines during WWII.
No big plans today. I might venture out into the back yard and pick up sticks for a while. There is a lot to do out there. Or, I might not. I will have to see where the day takes me. I'm still pretty groggy so far.
AngelaJo - I am really concerned about your situation. Those spasms don't sound good. I would call the doctor again tomorrow. Wasn't she going to see about getting you in to see someone else about your back issues? Hang in there as best you can.
Waves at everyone!
Fantod i see my Dr on tuesday. So will talk to her then
I don't feel better but I don't feel worse, so trying to do my Sunday chores. Hope everyone is having a pleasant day!
I have been away for a pong while but am back to say hi, spread some hugs, and ask some fibro questions.
I have declined in a major way. I am trying to figure this all out. In particular, I am trying to figure out this foggy, crazy, feel like I'm getting ready to be diagnosed with a memory disorder brain I have. My body is bad enough but I can't figure out how to remember ANYTHING! I hate an electronic calendar such as Google because I can't take and see my notes as easily but notes and appointments written in my paper planner are slipping through. Any ideas anyone? I am needing advice and help from people who understand. Thank you!
