What's the most disturbing part?

What's the most disturbing/disruptive symptom of your fibromyalgia?

For me, I'd have to say it's the fatigue and lightheadedness (okay that's two). I can usually muddle through pain, but when I'm exhausted and dizzy, it's really disruptive to my life.

I agree with. Fatigue and that loopy where-is my-brain feeling are probably the worst things to deal with most of the time.

The debilitating fatigue and brain fog our my most troublesome symptoms as well. The pain is bad, but having no energy and feeling weird is worse to me.

Pain & fatigue have become my constant companions. They feel & seem like identical twins to me!!!

Daisy, for me that's the worst part, too. I'm so glad you and someone else put together the two words, exhausted and dizzy. Silly me, I'd never actually connected the two! I didn't realize that the dizzy or lightheaded feeling was a part of the fatigue. That is so debilitating to me. I can't do anything on those days. Thanks for bringing up this subject. It makes me feel better that I'm not crazy!

Fatigue from doing next-to-nothing, but also unrelenting pain (less often) from using a muscle too much.

I could deal with the fatigue if I didn't also have the pain, but unfortunately they seem to go hand in hand. But I'm doing better than I was last year.

The chronic fatigue, and the fact that no amount of sleep or rest ever helps. I have real problems sleeping anyway, so the pain and lack of sleep makes the fatigue worse, which makes my depression worse, which makes me even more lethargic and fatigued...ok, that's more than one symptom but it's a vicious cycle for me. I have never known what it's like to wake up rested.

I agree Fatigue and fog are bad enough. The problem I am having is painful goosebumps running down my legs. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi Daisy, for me the fatigue and pain are the most debilitating, why do they say fatigue is not a symptom of fibro? is it to make us feel worse than we already feel?

For me it's the unrelenting pain!!

Mostly the pain in my neck and head that never ever stops. It is so debilitating and exhausting. It just drains me physically and emotionally.

Which leads to anxiety, depression, anger, fatigue, insomnia, and stomach issues.

The pain from which I cannot get relief. My ribs and my neck. But also the fatigue. Both are unrelenting. How can my body be so changed in so little time?!

I didn't know they said fatigue wasn't a symptom of fibro. For me it's a prominent feature.

I agree, Daisy. From all my reading, which has been pretty extensive, fatigue is most always listed as the number two problem of fibro, after pain.
