If this is a duplicate to Leo's post, just ignore it and jump over there. But I thought I'd get this rolling today.
So since I'm in a weird and strange mood (thanks to my almost a full 8hrs of sleep and waking up to get this...zero pain) I'm going places where I rarely go to. Weird But Fun Facts!!
1. The longest time between two twins being born is 87 days. (That poor mom!!!)
2. The world's deepest postbox is in Susami Bay in Japan. It's 10 metres underwater. (really? But Japan does all of the cool stuff)
3. In 2007, an American man named Corey Taylor tried to fake his own death in order to get out of his cell phone contract without paying a fee. It didn't work. (I feel your pain mister!)
4. The oldest condoms ever found date back to the 1640s (they were found in a cesspit at Dudley Castle), and were made from animal and fish intestines. (The kids these days!)
5. In 1923, jockey Frank Hayes won a race at Belmont Park in New York despite being dead — he suffered a heart attack mid-race, but his body stayed in the saddle until his horse crossed the line for a 20–1 outsider victory. (Wow...just wow!)
6. Everyone has a unique tongue print, just like fingerprints. (Okay, raise your hand, how many of us are going to try this at some point today?)
7. Most Muppets are left-handed. (Because most Muppeteers are right-handed, so they operate the head with their favoured hand.)
8. Female kangaroos have three vaginas. (I'd rather know that cows have 3 stomaches)
9. It costs the U.S. Mint almost twice as much to mint each penny and nickel as the coins are actually worth. Taxpayers lost over $100 million in 2013 just through the coins being made. (and just think how expensive those floors are now when they penny and lacqure over them?)
10. Light doesn't necessarily travel at the speed of light. The slowest we've ever recorded light moving at is 38 mph. (I've been behind a few of these guys driving in the left lane of the freeway).
11. Casu marzu is a Sardinian cheese that contains live maggots. The maggots can jump up to five inches out of cheese while you're eating it, so it's a good idea to shield it with your hand to stop them jumping into your eyes. (THAT I did not need to know, this makes processed cheese look so much better!!)
12. The loneliest creature on Earth is a whale who has been calling out for a mate for over two decades — but whose high-pitched voice is so different to other whales that they never respond. (ohhh, this sounds like the start of a good tearjerker movie)
13. The spikes on the end of a stegosaurus' tail are known among paleontologists as the "thagomizer" — a term coined by cartoonist Gary Larson in a 1982 Far Side drawing.
14. During World War II, the crew of the British submarine HMS Trident kept a fully grown reindeer called Pollyanna aboard their vessel for six weeks (it was a gift from the Russians). (I wonder how Santa felt about those reindeer games?)
15. The northern leopard frog swallows its prey using its eyes — it uses them to help push food down its throat by retracting them into its head. (Okay, can I officially call it here, Frogs are weird!)
16. The first man to urinate on the moon was Buzz Aldrin, shortly after stepping onto the lunar surface. (I think I'd have to do the same after that trip also).
Not much going on in this end of the world. Was going to have my nephew today, but my brother stayed home to work on his RV (they want to run out to DC over the 4th).
I worked out all of my nerves yesterday ironing and doing laundry. Today will be the floors and collecting all of the trash out of the bedrooms and such.
So now tell me, what weird and strange facts do you know? Along with how your day is going! And Leo, I hope you don't mind if I jumped in....Hope you all have a great day!

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

I love all of your side comments you had me laughing. I don't know many weird facts, this brain is fried. I'm glad you got us started and happy you got some very good sleep followed by no pain. That's a win and a day to celebrate.
Leo, I'm praying everything is okay, I hope you can update us today.
I still struggle with gut pain, but it seems a little less bloated now that I'm off of Nystatin and taking fluconazole everyday. I survived yesterday, karate was a good class and I didn't miss anything. I was starving but no stomach pain when I went so I was very thankful. Today I need to get as much done as possible so I can take July 4th and 9th off. We get the 4th but since it's around month-end and quarter-end I typically work it. I'm trying hard to get it off so I can take the girls to see Incredibles 2. This weekend is busy already with birthday present shopping, I can't believe I'm cutting it so close to my girls party on the 7th. Then my mom's birthday is Sunday. I plan on getting the best cupcakes in the world a Gluten free Midnight Magic from Gigi's and then taking her to lunch after church. I need a sick day at home relaxing after July.
Oh and medical marijuana was passed yesterday in Oklahoma. I can't wait for it to be available, I will definitely try it,
I hope everyone has a good day.
I'm happy MMJ passed in your state yesterday. It's passed here for a while, but not all conditions, I believe in July/August, chronic pain can get the go ahead to buy (it was approved last year, before that it was for cancers, ALS, and seizures). Last I heard it was still super expensive here. Like $600/mo! It's crazy. So sadly many in pain are needing to wait until is passes on a recreational level, which will just NEVER happen in this state.
But like you, I'd try it. I've been tempted to try the CBD oil (like Charlotte's Web) that you can buy online or a health food store to help with my anxiety/sleep issues. And for Beans too. But...I worry...CBD could still get us in trouble and it's just not worth the risk, even though it has zero THC in it. It is detectable on a drug screen since this oil is extracted from the seeds/not the plant. I know others who have kids on the spectrum who love it.
I hope you can get all of your work in for the day and your planned days off go off w/out a hitch!
We are stopping the lasix, i still have some fluid on my feet and legs but i am able to get sandals on again YAY! Its still painful though to wear anything on my feet. I am to keep my feet up! RELAX UGH I have to go places next two days tomorrow is the medicaid office to keep my disability thru them even though im on SSI too. Then i have my prolonged exposure therapy and then taking dad for lunch. He wants a big mac ill just get a grilled chicken sandwich. Then i come home and feet back up, if i still have fluid Monday well go back to lasix but my Dr does not want to hurt my kidneys. Friday is payday and i have a chiropractor appointment too. Then Walmart at least i dont need much this time and dollar tree and pay bills well bank before anything else. Yesterday every time i got up i clean something i had to it helped me mentally.
Pain is there but its not at my worst, with the oxy its tolerable and about a 6 to 7 depending what im doing. Rained a little last night but humidity is 85 percent today. UGH
Twins, I can't believe you have all that going on between work and the birthdays the 1st week of July. I pray you they give you the days off. Yay for the legalization of medical marijuana. I hope you meet the criteria for an MMJ card.
Beach was nice yesterday... the water was a little rough with a mild rip tide, but the temp was nice and it was sunny, not too crowded either. Hawaiian class was good too, we started learning the Lord's prayer. There's a break for July and class will resume in Aug because too many people are on vacation. Not too much going on today.... going to do some light cleaning around the house, I've let things go. A run to the post office and drug store for chemo refill, and then work on sewing my homemade purse some more. I wish my mom would go somewhere and get out of the house, she's been here for days just hanging around.
Well. I had my epidural injection today. I feel better. I'm a little tired and drowsy from the medication. I'm going to rest today and take it easy. I hope everyone has a great day. will check back in later after I rest a while...hugs to all!
Blue, you'll have to post picks of your purse when you are done. The most I've ever done to a purse was convert a larger bag into a camera bag. I'm not crazy over most camera bags, but if it looks like a purse and I can stick my wallet in there, I'm a happy girl toting it around.
Does your mom like any hobbies? Wasn't she going to move back to CO? Or did I miss something?
Pam, I'm so happy your procedure is done! And now to just let the meds wear off and get you up zipping around again!
Angela, I'm glad you're seeing some improvement, and really glad your doctor is being cautious. I hope you don't get back on it.
Blue, I hope i meet the requirements and that it's not too expensive. I figured it would be expensive but not anything like what wonder suggested. I sure hope not. I'm glad the beach was nice. I'm behind on cleaning too and I've been doing some here and there in the evenings and mornings. It's so easy to fall behind when we never feel good. And sorry your mom is still hanging around you nonstop. That must be so hard.
Miki, I'm glad you checked in even if you can't reply. I hope your day gets better, it sounds like you are very overwhelmed. Hugs
Pam, I'm glad you already feel a bit better. I hope you had a nice nap and things improved even more on your pain.
Wonder, yes she is leaving in Aug.
As for the rest of the state. If your on any kind of MA/SSDI/ ChampVA sort of thing, you can register for $50 and then you can get a bigger discount. As for the rest, I've been told it varies on the variety you get. And you need to register (here it's $200 annual fee). Then you have the cost of the product on top of that. And apparently the LeafLabs place is not making a dime off of it all. They went into this knowing that they'd loose money for a good 7-10yrs. I've never seen such a stanglehold on something before in my life. You'd think they were processing uranium or something.
Ida, sorry about your arm, I hope you rest well and the pain calms down soon. Also that your doc runs more tests and figures out what on earth it is.
