Good morning.
Language lesson
Weary: tired.
Wary: careful.
Leery: same as wary. Leery of snake oil salesmen, for example.
People are using weary for wary a lot lately. bugs me. I had relatives work hard to learn the language. Native speakers could at least try, y'know?
I am not doing well. Physically, it's jsut a mild flare, but the rest is bad, and Hubby won't even take the anti-anxiety stuff that would mean he sleeps that means I'd sleep.
So, in honor of weariness... I'm doing a cheat check-in and just posting a few links. Sorry.
Wildlife of Brazil THis is National Geographic, and all NatGeo specials are usually cool, IMO, but Brazil features a jaguar. Interesting note: Where cougars and jaguars co-exist, cougars tend to be smaller, due to the competition for food, tho' cougars are generally more adaptable over all in terms of terrain/climate. (Goodt hing.)
This one is Kamchatka, which is basically over in Siberia: Kamchatka wildlife
Also good way to entertain kids, btw, if they like animals. Huge playlists of Natgeo specials:-)

Off to deal with the SNAFUBAR of life Blessings on your day!

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning. Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground. Different...

Sorry to hear that you are weary and in a flair. Hopefully you'll be able to get some sleep tonight...we all know how critical sleep is to knock back some of the pain. Oh, I knew that you weren't getting into depth about the Finnish stuff yesterday, I just get on my low horse (most Finnish horses aren't all that big) and have to spout off whenever the Finnish culture is mentioned. :-) Thank you for giving me that chance.
Miki,
Sorry to hear that you are so sore. It'd be nice if the snow backed off of you for awhile so that you could recover! Here's hoping that they also get you some hot water today! Try to take it easy on yourself today if you can.
Well, pain seems to be coming in three here this morning (at least so far, I know that math will change). I went out and chipped some ice off the driveway/sidewalk after work while Spartacus stood guard. Just moving a little ice has my upper body so sore that I can hardly function this morn. Wondering what would happen if I had to dig a ditch or something? hmmmmmm Another odd thing (besides me) is that my brain is racing around like it's TRYING to find something to be very anxious about. Does that make any sense? Like I can be anxious about this..nahh, not bad enough...how about this then? Over and over again.
Oh, while digging in the lil Kels spot over the weekend we found a new bag'o boxers that he must have left. For whatever the reason, they were my size, not his (he was at leas 5-6 inches less round than me, I'm more ummm developed). Odd that he'd have them anyway. I decided to keep them and am trying a pair for the first time today (intimate underwear talk, sorry if I'm offending :-)). I was thinking as I got out of the shower this morn and started getting dressed, if he isn't close to my heart, at least he'll be close to SOMETHING. I'm a sick man...gotta laugh or you're going to cry (a lot of times both). Oh, and he is close to my heart always and forever.
Hoping everyone finds a reason to smile today,
Kel
Last night I could barely make it to the bedroom. I had to call hubby to come help me because the last few feet felt like a mile. Hips are so tight I could only shuffle my feet. I don't know how you feel daily, Leo, but if it's like this, all I can say is wow you are superwoman. So this morning, the pain has continued and now my left shoulder has joined the party. No way can I drive to bible study. I guess I've pushed my body too far lately.
Art classes went well yesterday, but I'm sure that contributed to this awful pain. Good kids, except for one. Voice held out. Sounded more gravelly by the end of the morning but they could hear me.
Leo, I agree about native speakers. I am a proud member of the grammar police. ;) I appreciate that you do the check in, even short ones. I hope your day improves.
Miki, I'm glad you were able to enjoy a hot shower. I don't think I could handle a cold one with this weather. I like routine myself.
Ok, shoulder is screaming. Have a good day everyone.
Angela, take care of yourself today. Praying for you.
Miki - sorry you are in so much pain. I am glad you had a hot shower. I hope your water heater gets fixed soon. I wouldn't be any good without a shower in the morning, besides the fact that I look like a troll doll when I wake up. I hope the day gets better for you.
OMG, Kel. You have me laughing. I totally get your sentiment about the boxers. I wear hubbys every night to bed. They are just comfy to me. Anyways, last December (well 2 Decembers now) when hubby was deployed and I ended up in the hospital I realized while in the ED that I had his boxers on. I simply told the nurse "my husband is in Afghanistan and this is the only way I can get in his pants". I thought my daughter was going to die and my bff laughed hysterically. Try not worrying about things just to worry. Have a good day.
Oh lord Bobbii. I hope your pain lessens soon. I'm sure teaching didn't help you out much. You deserve a break from this soon. Take care.
Is it the weekend yet? The last two weeks completely wiped me out. All I want to do is sleep.
Thinking of you Angela.
Take are everyone. I am thinking of you and hope your pain lightens up a bit.
I hope you find some relief there today. I often dream of a day where I could feel "normal" pain wise...even for just that one day. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd recognize it for what it was because it's been so long.
Angela,
You're in my thoughts and prayers.
bbMom,
You have me laughing here this morn too! :-) I hope that you have decent day there today.
Miki, I hate my routine getting thrown off too. Yesterday was that for me, field trip with the girls. I hope your day gets back on track, and you catch a break soon.
Kel, you are cracking me up. I know how you feel with your brain racing. I just called my doctor basically crying for help. It's so hard living life like this. I may need to try a med to help me out until the side effects kick my butt, and I can't take it. Hang in there, let me know if you find anything that helps.
Angela, sending you lots of support and help. I hope your day has improved since your post.
Bobbi, sorry everything is falling apart today. We all know how that feels. I hope you get some relief today.
bbmom, thanks for the great laugh today. You have been very busy with work, I hope it gets better and you can catch a break. You deserve it.
Any natural cures for burning in my stomach? I've never had an ulcer, but something has been really wrong with my stomach since the 2 rounds of antibiotics. The left side of my stomach burns and hurts. I tried apple cide vinegar and it helped, started taking it at dinner, that helped. Now I'm getting the pain and burn during the day, and I'm wondering how much it really helped, am I making matters worse? Sorry I know not fibro related, but Leo and many of you are great with this stuff. Anyways, bad pain everywhere besides my stomach. Field trip was fun, exhausting, great memories, will probably never do it again. I can't stand that long! I feel overwhelmed and I'm about ready to try anything to lower this depression/anxiety/frustrations.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Has anyone seen Twin lately? I worry about her.
Had a crazy day yesterday. Some parts frustrating, other parts enjoyable. My husband was an hour late getting off his lunch break and I sat in the parking lot the whole time... parking lot was full, all I could do was make circles. I wanted to go to the mall across the street and wait there, but my husband would call and say '10 more mins'. Before he made it out, one of his experimental root-beers (he and his students make for lab credits) exploded all over the inside of my truck! It came pouring out like a forceful fountain in every flippin direction and stuck to everything in its path. I opened the door and put outside, but it was too late, it covered the dash, steering wheel, center console was a fizzy swimming pool, the seats, AND ME!!! I was drenched in a sticky nightmare from shoulders to toes! Pulled out a beach towel and wiped it up, but it didn't solve the stickiness.
When my husband came out he acted like it was my fault. We only had a little time to swim, so we ran down to the beach and jumped in the water. I also managed to get a picture with a plane flying right over my head lol. My husband was late getting back to work. When I got home, everything including the seat covers went in the laundry. I used so many clorox wipes and it still smells like root-beer in there.
He was also an hour late getting OFF work. We found out upon arriving, the restaurant stops serving at 8. We got there at 7 and it was a 50 min wait to get in!! We didn't have anything to sit on, so by the time they called us in, my back was killing me. The food was good, though, but they rushed our food and my lamb was bloody. Had to send it back to the cook.
Oh and my mom was super upset during the day about something that happened at Bible study. Luckily I got her flowers that somewhat cheered her up. I had to put on a good movie because she was going on and on about what upset her.
Other than ALL that, it was a pretty good day. My husband and I go to our 1st marriage counseling today. He's still trying to tell me how counseling won't help us and we should go as less as possible (like once a month), because we can help ourselves. (rollseyes). Yeah, that's helped so far. We left our leftover lamb at the restaurant... they are holding on to it and we'll pick it up today. Such nice people.
Back in a moment.
I also woke up to a dark house... my power was out... two of my outlets worked but nothing else. It's very strange. My landlord is supposed to come and look at it- we'll see about that. He doesn't have the best follow through.
Quick note. So it is this week. One of the houses we were going to look at tomorrow got sold so now we are down to 2.
Our home has 2 more showings so far this week.
Blessings to all.
Blue, yay for counseling. I hope it goes well for both of you and you get a lot out of it. Your swim sounds nice. Sorry about the rootbeer. How frustrating that had to be, besides the stickiness. Enjoy your lamb.
Crumbs, I hope you get the power situation fixed. It is in the teens here and no power would be very bad. It sounds scary that a couple outlets still work though. I hope you get that taken care of quickly.
Ida, I am so happy your house has showings. YAY! I hope you get an offer soon. Good luck with your viewing of the 2 other houses. I hope you are holding up babysitting and have/had a safe trip to your daughters.
Angela, sorry to hear about your auntie Peg. I have known two people lately who died from their treatment, so I totally understand Peg wanting quality of life. Thinking of you and hoping your therapists help you get through this rough time.
I cannot believe it is only 2pm. I want to go home. Tonight I start trying to work out again. I really am not looking forward to it, but hope it helps me. My legs seem so weak that I need to try something to help them and losing weight will be good all of the way around. She say's as she is eating cookie.
Take care everyone.
Kel, that's funny about the boxers. Hey, whatever helps you feel his presence!
Angela, lots of hugs and support going your way....
Bobbii, sorry you're in that much pain. I'm glad art class was good at least, except for the one kid. Sucks when you have to stop everything because your body gives up on you. Good thing it's temporary and things should resume. Hope you feel better asap.
Bbmom, funny line about you in the ER with your husband's boxers on lol. I hope your schedule can calm down soon so you're not so exhausted all the time.
Twin, I take a magnesium (citrate) supplement after dinner and it has helped all that gerd stuff. It hasn't cured me, but at least I'm not up all night on fire anymore. I'm sorry you had to endure all that standing yesterday. I don't know how you did it but glad you survived. We had to stand outside the restaurant for 50 mins while waiting to be seated and I started getting spasms. I can't imagine a field trip. Sucks about the depression. I hope you find some joy in your day today.
Ida, down to 2? Holding on to hope something works out for you. Good luck with the showing tomorrow.
Crumbs, I hope your landlord comes through. Have you checked the breaker box?
