My Hashimotot's also took over and my thyriod became so large it was cutting off my airwa and my esophagus. It has been a very long jounrey to get back to a place where i am able to return to work. Thankfully I am feeling better to some extenet, as you can imaghine i have had quite the flare up of the fibro. I have not found a comfortable position yet today but I am just grateful to have found my way back here. For the very sort time i was here i did find this community to be helpful. I am sorry i was not able to let you all know i was ill.
I am currently taking suggestions on explaining my new scar... please see photo below.

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

I will say it has been fun to see reactions. I was in line at Chipotle. And the police officer in front of me kept turning around for that double take (more like a quadruple take.) I did live in one of the top five most dangerous cities in America, i could easily say it happened there... though the scar tissue is still lumpy and pink.
With the eyes its honestly laugh or cry sometimes you know. When given a choice i will always laugh.
There is an OTC cream called Mederma for scars to help them fade. I'd ask your doctor first but it really helps quite a bit. Or, you can use Vitamin E capsules. Use a pin to poke a hole and massage that on your scar every day. I had my right knee replaced in February and have the traditional 6 inch scar. I've been using Mederma and it is starting to fade pretty well.
Hope to see you on check in when you are up to it!
