Another day, another ouchie?
My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.
Now, as to fibro:
A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.
1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically 0.001 or LESS. Your risk of death or serious issues even with flu is 2-10% depending on other factors. Measles? up to 20%. Diphtheria? DO NOT ASK. It was known as "the children's plague" for a reason. TLDR: If you have a reason not to vaccinate, medically, like hubby can't get certain ones due to lymphoma? Finel. Otherwise, you are going to potentially give someone deafness, blindness, loss of limb, epilepsy, must I go on?
2. Diphtheria is potentially making a ccomeback. PLEASE AVOID IT. IF you don't have your shot? Get it. While pertussis (whooping cough) is horrible, diphtheria can cause loss of limb use in adults, kill children, and here's how. It causes neuritis and the nerve dies, sometimes in your arms, legs, who knows. You c an be disabled for life if you get it. In children, it famously causes a gray membrane that, frankly, reminds me of chewing gum in appearance, which blocks their airway. It's just the bacterial growth, but "just" doesn't apply.
3. We have the entire Iditirod because dogs had to get medicine to sick children. Think on that. People would rrun sled dogs 1000 miles in ALASKA to hopefully save a few kids. Now, we're told, "KIf you get it, your immune system is stronger." Er, not really.
4. Famous people who suffered because of a lack of vaccinations: Mary Ingalls, blinded by virus, possibly encephalitis complications from measles, though the fictional books describe scarlet fever. Almanzo Wilder, ccrippled for life by diptheria by hsi early 30s, husband of author Laura Ingalls Wilder. Princess Alice of England, who suffered diptheria herself then lost a child to it 130 years ago. Peter 2 of Russia, aged 14, died on his WEDDING DAY of smallpox. Author Sir Walter Scott contracted polio, which messed up his health for the rest of his life. Measles got the king and queen of Hawaii. Tuberculosis got Eleanor Roosevelt, John Keats, and George Orwell.
A lot of this is in reaction to news that there is a mRNA vaccine for flu.
Let's review.
mRNA is fragile AF. That's why it took decades to make workable vaccines using it.
mRNA vaccines do not enter your cells nuclei, so they can't hijack any DNA anyway. That's where sh*t happens, the nucleus of a cell. (see high school biology)
M stands for MESSENGER. THis stuff can't rewrite anything if it's not your OWN. You need a fun thing called TRANSCRIPTASE, which mRNA *lacks*, to get your DNA to do something as it splits up and codes for proteins, and I'm oversimplifying.
TLDR: You have mRNA running around right now, acting as a trigger to DNA to produce certain proteins (or not) or it's being used to act as a template and will be gone before I'm done typing, and the whoel point of mRNA vaccines is to avoid using ones based on the actual disease organisms if possible.
There is a huge measles outbreak county near me, and we're terrified. Measles wipes out your immune system's "memory bank", so everything youd eveloped immunity to? No more immunity. Your immune system got etch-a-sketched.
The danger is real. PLEASE, wear your mask, use your soap and hot water to wash your hands, because the life you save mis probably gonna be your own.

Today (August 8) is INternational Cat Day. Don't click away! International DOG day is August 26! Both were created to raise aweareness and funds for the well-being of critters. We have many such dayts, to the pint that every day is like an old Catholic saints' day calendar: Take your pick!I'm home, obvs, and still ill. Left calf and foot not great after a tangle-fall, but i'll live. Just can't...

I'm home! HMO sent me, not the docs. I kept down solids and while I still have problems, we're gonna have to home-manage. I've had enoough saltines to last a lifetime, however. But noodle soupo stays down, and that's good. And my CT is clear.***What are your TGIFoods?TGIFoods for me:Scrambled eggs, toast, and hash browns. That is a huge breakfast, but when I can get it? That's like the gold...
I slept poorly last night..the heat has been getting to me. And bfs grandmother passed away yesterday-she had a stroke last week, was in a medically induced coma, then woke up but still had major issues with organ function. And Jackie's ranting because there's a lot of bugs getting in here. It's freaking summer, that's what happens! Not worth freaking out over. I can't listen to her tirades all day today. I need to figure out what day I'm taking off next month (since I'm not going on vacation, I'm going to take a day off, plus they don't need me at my second job that Thursday so I'll get 2 extra days off). I guess I can just pick one and they can deal? Idk. My head is spinning right now and all I want is to go back to bed...
I have an appointment on Wednesday to meet a potential client who lives in a very posh neighborhood. An area that i would love to get some traction in. Close to home which is great.
I see that children’s vaccination schedules have now
been tampered with. When I started school, if you didn’t have a vaccination card, you were not allowed to attend. It was not a debate. I’m as up to date as I can be with vaccines. This new policy will needlessly kill kids. Hopefully doctors ignore the new guidelines.
Miki - You deserve a couple of days off and then some! I’m sorry about BFs grandmother.
The heat indice made it pretty horrible here today. We did have some rain last night which was good.
I still have some unpacking to do. Waves!
