Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
When you are at the lowest place just try to remember all the Blessings you do have in your life, there is always Blessings even through the hard times.
I will keep you in my prayers :)
Don't look at it as your life is over, look at it as you just have to pace yourself and don't feel guilty about having to do this.
Also TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME :) God Bless You
It took me 3/4 of a lifetime to put that formula togeather, with it I can go out all day, work, sleep, enjoy a normal (well almost ) life. the collective effect of all those modalities lets me put Fibro sufficently in the background until I come home to rest, then I need everything and every trick, fibro hits like a ton of bricks and the fight is on. each year I've gotten more tricky, I'm giving the (almost all ) benefit so you won't have to go through what I have, hope you can benefit.
God Bless You All!
Many hugs,
Masry
So, be kind to your self! Have a good cry and then go to your doctor and ask what you can take to help you. There are many meds out there and we are all different but you will know which ones help you. I am 57 years old and 4 of my 5 kids are older but I do have a 12 year old so I know what it is like to not feel well enough to do things with her.
Good luck and let us hear how you make out. Like I said, try to be positive and get to a doctor who deals with this illness and get some help from him/her.
Love and gentle hugs!
You can see that many of us have been in a similar place. Know that you are not alone. I echo what many have shared on here. The only thing I could add is when I feel that way, I want to learn everything there is to learn about my condition. There are several great books on what you have been diagnosed with. They are pretty cheap on Amazon.com. Let me know if you want names from some of the ones I found helpful.
Also about the medication piece. You should of course check with your doctor, but there are medications that really help one thing but make other things worse. One example is prendisone (steroids) They really help things like Lupus but they make Fibro worse. They also have been know to make people weepy and anxious. Hope that helps.
I can remember sitting and sobbing the pain was so bad. After a while it just went away for a few years. I was taking Feverfew and it helped tremendously. A year ago, I had an episode where I passed out and drove my car off the road. The cardiologist took me off the Amitriptyline and all sorts of problems came crashing back onto me. I put my self back on the Amitriptyline and am slowly getting better. My legs from my knees down feel like toothaches. Sometimes my butt hurts so bad I put on Lydoderm patches on it.
A few weeks ago I met a lady who told me about Boswellia (400 mg capsules) take 2 caps twice a day; tart cherry extract. So I have been taking these for the last couple of weeks and I am actually feeling a little bit less achy. My stamina is still low, but I can move and have less ache in my legs and feet. Only time will tell if these will put me in remission again, but I will keep taking these until I am convinced one way or the other.
I hope you can find some comfort in the words you find in these posts. I do. Here is a BIG HUG (0) for you. Get well soon.

I am there today too. I went to bed crying and this morning and again reading your post. I know I have gotten through it in the past and I will again, just as you will. I don't have small children but i still feel like I have taken my 17 year old's life away as mine the last 5 years. I am also having extreme financial difficulties and that doesn't help. As you see there are so many others. I want everyone to make fibrymyalgia awareness day a day to teach our family, our friends, our doctors and strangers everything we go through. We will get a cure this way. The doctors need to do something to help us and make our lives and those we live with better. They can see cancer but we need to make them see fibromyalgia.
