Diagnosed with fibromyalgia this week after about a year of weird pain.  I really thought it was a lame excuse after I was given an antidepressant for pain in my chest, shoulder and ribs.  But after research I'm seeing a trend.  Oh, no!!!  Y'all comfirmed it for me...DS has never steered me wrong!!  


Anyone also have HS?  I have questions.

Hello and welcome! Take your time to adjust to the new diagnosis. It's not uncommon for people to undergo a grieving process after getting a chronic diagnosis. Allow yourself to feel your feelings, and you're always free to discuss any of them here.

I'm not sure what HS is, so I can't help on that front.

Aloha, welcome to the group. Sorry you have all that pain. I hope the benefits of the new med outweigh side effects. It can take a while to adjust to an antidepressant. I hope it lessens your pain. I don't know what HS is either. Hope to see you around.

I need to do much research for this condition now.

I have suffered from HS for 40 years. HS is an orphan disease that no company is researching, it's very misunderstood.

What is HS? I have hypermobity syndrome but that is probably not what you are referring to.

    I'nm exhausted. This doxycycline thing has ripped me apart and I'm eating crackers  and water. I can't take (anything) or eat (anything) except saltines and toast and maybe unbuttered watery mashed potatoes. Are we sure the cure isn't worse than the possible disease?!?!And a week to go. ***Fun cures that WERE worse than the disease:ARsenic. Popular against STDs, which just compounded misery...
