I've had a heck of a time this morning trying to get people at the VA on the horn about 1. my back brace being too big and 2. never receiving the lactulose Rx from 2 weeks ago. I'm willing to try anything at this point if it will mean I can get some relief from the awful IBS flare. It turns out the GI clinic never wrote the prescription out because that sub-in doctor thought I already had some (heaven only knows where he thought I got it from).

And this is the 3rd week now that I've been dealing with the back brace problem. There's gotta be SOMEONE at the VA who is willing to help me!

Twins, I'm sorry you got lectured by that lady that you should eat fish every morning. I know what you mean, I've been lectured by multiple people who think they know the answers and from people who have never had the same problem(s). And besides, what works for some doesn't work for others. Just tell them thanks but no thanks. These people don't understand that part of our frustration is that we've tried so many things and there is no miracle cure out there.

I am a grumpy and tired person today. I have not been sleeping well for the past week or so - been waking up frequently because of hot flashes. Last night was the worst between not being able to fall asleep, hot flashes, and the neighbors A/C unit sounding like it is going to blow up again. UGH. I dont do well on interrupted sleep and not enough sleep - physically and mentally and I dont know how those of you manage that deal with this the majority of the time.

Dont want to go into a lot of detail or people will figure out what town im in, but we had the whole town (well two adjoining towns) i was in today which to us is town its 2 towns over, on lock down. Guy with gun breaking in businesses going thru businesses in a car etc guy is dead cop is shot in the head but i guess it just grazed him but hes in the hospital because when its your head ya you dont take chances. We were on lock down at PT, it started while i was in AA heard tons of sirens we didnt know why, got to PT and we went on lock down. By the time i was done with PT guy was shot by the cop he shot, cops get a lot of credit from me even after being shot by the guy in his head he kept going after him, he shot the suspect twice in the chest. PTSD is BADDDDDD right now i am just shaking. I had therapy after that did not help my PTSD it was talking about my rape 13 years ago, then we went to wendys then Walhell i got home an hour ago got dinner in the oven thanks to stouffers! I can not cook my pain is SO high before i even went to PT so she was easy on me, stress has it way up too and my PTSD.

Good news, my mom got an off brand but its basically a fit bit for 30 bucks a few days ago while in Fond Du Lac and she cant figure it out too confusing so i now own a generic fit bit and just playing with it a few mins got it figured out and love it! i guess my Aunt ordered it on amazon my cousin said its just as good as fit bit brand.

Milily I take Estroven for hot flashes. It works like a charm for me but I am not saying it will work for everyone. We are all different. My sister used it too and it worked for her.
Ida I am scared for you. If you have anymore pains go straight to the hospital. I am praying for you. Be safe.
Twins I am sorry you got a lecture about how to eat. Each of us is different and what works for one doesn't work for all. Keep doing what you are and if anyone tells you how they think you should anything tell them you will do what you feel is right.
'My machine was not set right so the guy fixed it so I am getting the amount of oxygen I am supposed to. He called to say he would be here between noon and 2 pm then showed up at my door at 10:30. I had just showered and had to answer the door in my robe. Not happy about that. I took my shot for my RA yesterday and today I have no energy period. I did go to the store to get a few things but that is all I managed.

Wow, Angela, that's nuts! Kudos for the cop who kept after him despite being shot in the head. He must have had an angel looking after him, i hope he makes a full recovery. Glad everyone is safe.

Autumn, yay for getting your machine fixed.... but how embarrassing that he came like that. I hate when people are too early or too late like the maintenance man the other day that showed up when I was in the shower and our shower is outside (bathroom is partially outdoor). Ugh. Really? Who designed this bathroom with no privacy. For now I have a shower curtain up, but I need something more permanent that won't "blow away".

Welp, I just spent 3-4 hours working on my school work. And that's on top of spending several hours dealing with VA problems. Let's just say I've worked a full day and I'm braindead. Goin to veg with netflix now.
