Today (August 8) is INternational Cat Day. Don't click away! International DOG day is August 26! Both were created to raise aweareness and funds for the well-being of critters. We have many such dayts, to the pint that every day is like an old Catholic saints' day calendar: Take your pick!
I'm home, obvs, and still ill. Left calf and foot not great after a tangle-fall, but i'll live. Just can't walk too well. Hubby got me home from hospital and LEFT TOWN.
So, does anyone need help with "whatever" for enough money to pay for me to have a room, meds, and my cat? Cuz I'm not feelin' love here.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

I'm home! HMO sent me, not the docs. I kept down solids and while I still have problems, we're gonna have to home-manage. I've had enoough saltines to last a lifetime, however. But noodle soupo stays down, and that's good. And my CT is clear.***What are your TGIFoods?TGIFoods for me:Scrambled eggs, toast, and hash browns. That is a huge breakfast, but when I can get it? That's like the gold...
I didn’t know it was international cat day today…although if I’m being honest, that’s every day here. Now that I’m finally done with errands, got Miki out for a walk, and got my hair cut, I can relax in the air conditioning and celebrate properly. Skadi and Tumble are on top of me, oppressive heat be damned. I’d love a nap, but it’s probably too hot for that this afternoon.
Early this morning, my sister brought her puppy to the ER because he ate part of a lick mat almost 2 days ago, and vomited once this morning. He’s almost 80lbs and eating fine, active etc so I told her yesterday that he’s fine as long as he’s not lethargic, vomiting repeatedly, or refusing to eat. I didn’t see her text until after she got back home, but luckily the tech who triaged him basically told her that he’s definitely not sick and doesn’t need bloodwork, X-rays and ultrasound and didn’t charge her anything. She told her the same things to watch for as I did. I just laughed and told her not to go back if she sees blue silicone in his poop (because she might at this rate)..

My Cat thinks its always cat day LOL
Still in so much pain since I fell thru my porch. I saw my Pain Drs NP on Tuesday, I refuse to ever see her again if you get what I mean. Miss know everything know nothing. But she upped my low dose naltrexone to 6mg which is the highest they go. I saw my knee orthopedic on Friday, he is doing injections on the 28th in my knees, I did not do any NEW damage to my knees but it has greatly aggravated my knees. I have stage 4 osteoarthritis which means completely bone on bone etc plus have many bone spurs on my knees. I was in no knee pain thanks to him before the fall. He is NOT impressed with who they set me up with for my shoulder so he sent in a new referral to a much better shoulder orthopedic surgeon. They think I have a torn rotator cuff especially after seeing the security cam footage of my fall. My entire body is screaming at me, its been 11 days. I get hurt I think every year either on my birthday or the day before. Am I jinxed? LOL but seriously, owwwwwwww I am so bruised up but then again I am on warfarin. The guy who owns the handyman business Mom goes thru now (licensed and insured etc) is coming by tomorrow to look at the porch and set up when they are going to replace it. Moms not worried about the cost of per hour for the guys doing it, shes worried about the cost of lumbar. Mom owns our house. its a large porch. Shes also going to see how much it would be to add a ramp now versus if she were to add one later on. Shes making sure they make low steps like whats on there now. Right now our porch is blocked off with caution tape so noone goes on it. Plus we have photos of the day we blocked it off and have our security cameras so no one can claim not to know about it and sue for getting injured. Now days need all precautions.
The idiot who built our porch and said it was up to code was way off of it being to code! It is suppose to be either 16 or 18 inches apart supporting under it, they are 38 inches apart............. We can see why this happened and the wood was rotting underneath after only 5 years. He used very old wood it looks like and non treated wood. The wood that still looks new is cracknig as well even on the railing. Hate going out thru the back, have to go thru the dog fence which is a pain but at least I wont fall thru!
Matts job closed, he's a meat cutter and has not found another job yet. He gets 6 weeks severance pay and PTO time pay out. He's had one week without work so far. He had an interview last Monday and he called Thursday to follow up but the people who hire are not in until Monday, tomorrow. Praying he gets this job or something soon!
I went back on the original GLP1 which they didn't even call it one when I was on it before, it stopped working 3 years ago I had been on it for 3 years, Victoza, only non insulin diabetic med I can handle. Its already working since the past 2 days, I am not getting sick from it, but thing is I don't know that I am eating ENOUGH at this point. I already had a low appetite for awhile now. But trying to eat more often since I'm eating very small amounts. I just hope it helps me lose and get my sugars down! My insulin pump struggles some days.
Miki your sister should listen to you LOL I hope it cooled enough for you to nap!
