I get fatigued and eyes get tired but I don't conk out in public or while doing things.
That's sounds like Narcolepsy.
I would hope the physician will be able to help you. Tell him exactly what happens.
Though you may feel you get sleep there maybe something going on perhaps the doc will suggest a sleep study.
I hope you find answers and the help that you need.
Good luck.
I still have terrible fatigue from fibro and chronic low vitamin D, but not the kind that makes you fall asleep at inappropriate times anymore.
I hope your doctor will be able to sort it out. Both are highly treatable if that's what you have going on.
I have significant fatigue issues (although much less since I started synthroid) but I've never fallen asleep in the middle of doing something.
Good luck!
As you blood glucose is fine, pressure is good. I guess I should do the side study, just to find out. If you learn anything else please let me know.
I have the same problem they stopped me from driving , but they tell me it is because of the medication I take and the mixture blends and leaves this as a side effect. funny thing is it just happens out of the blu same for me. I was at supper talking to my husband and my mil and I fell asleep for a moment but they noticed my mil says oh you must not be sleeping.. I actually do not sleep well thanks hope this helps isabee
Thanks for the suggestions. I had this problem before I started the Lyrica. It went away, then again it wasn't this bad, either. I have been getting HORRIBLE sleep the last month or so. I wake up all night long with pain (neck, low back, left hand, and upper back). My pain management is a joke! They won't up my meds, even though I have asked at every appointment since July. So, I am in pain. I have insomnia to begin with. I did start taking B12 about two months ago because the sleepiness was freaking me out. It's extremely nerve wracking! I see the rheumatologist on Monday. I've had to go back to drinking major caffeine to stay awake. We'll see what he says. I did start a new med for blood pressure (in August) but I only take it at night because it makes me sleepy. I considered narcolepsy... but I've never had this problem before (not this pronounced) so I wasn't sure. I do believe a sleep study is probably a good idea. We'll see what he says. He's a doll.. so I know he won't leave me in the lurch. I hope. Thanks so much guys!!!!
