So there's a Bigfoot festival going on soon and Hubby is soooo enthused.I've spent so much of my life outdoors. I'm 99% sure their whoops and thumps and such are probably people up to no good tryihng to scare other folisk outta the woods without getting in trouble. Why do I say that? There's moonshiners in my DNA. And people who've lived in the forests since before white folks. If something was out...

Fun facts to up your day:The Big Bang wasn't IN space... it was OF space. How does that happen? Well, now you know why I'm NOT a physicist. Cuz I dunno. It just happened. Thena gain a new hypothesis is that our "black energy/matter" is actually waste dumped in our universe from somewhere else's black holes. How and all that? Don't ask. You start getting all "The Matrix" and muttering...

Did you see a rheumatologist or did your primary care Dr diagnose you? I ask because I haven't been officially diagnosed myself.
Wishing you well!
Give it a chance but of course not every drug works for everyone. It's all I take.
We recommend the book "Fibromyalgia for Dummies" to all of our newbies. It is available on Amazon. It will give you a comprehensive overview of this complex illness and a lot of ways to try and manage it.
The three main medications used to treat Fibromyalgia are Cymbalta, Savella and Lyrica. Other choices include muscle relaxers, Gabapentin and Amitriptyline. It takes time and a lot of tinkering to find the right medications and dosage for each patient. All of us are on different medication cocktails which is one of the reasons that this illness is hard to treat.
Don't expect instant results from taking medication either. The longer a chronic pain cycle continues, the harder it becomes to manage or stop. Allow a minimum of 3 weeks to notice a change in your symptoms. If there until no improvement in a month, you need to go back to the doctor. Stay well hydrated with water and expect side effects which should lessen over time.
You can still live your life but at a slower pace. I've been at this for about 8 years. Pacing is very important. Things will get better. You are not alone!
