I have clicked on the orange circle with the x a dozen times and nothing happened. I assume since it works now, my fingers worked or it gave in and decided to let me post.
I have had pain forever it seems. I don't even recall when it first started, maybe I was born with pain. My mother was a pain in the ass and mean, maybe that is when it started when I was young. Over the years it just proceeded to get worse.
No reason to talk about it, we all know how it feels and discouraging life can be somedays.
I wish I could just lay down and sleep without my mind going a million miles an hour. I am either thinking of "what did I do wrong?" "why can't my husband help?" and "Why cant we as a family do family things and have fun before it is to late for me to enjoy anything?"
I, like the rest of you, struggle everyday and do what I should do, life goes on and we all do too. We need help though and we need breaks in life.
I sleep a few hours a night and that is it. My husband can fall asleep in a heartbeat and I cannot take his snoring.
I am sorry, I do not why I even posted or joined. I know there is no magic cure, I know about the drugs and all the things some do to help themselves. I have tried and failed at some of those also.
It is early in the morning or very late at night, however one looks at the clock.
I will watch TV I try not to think.
I wish I was happy.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Hope you have fallen asleep by now. I'm watching Murder, She Wrote. Love that show. :o) Happy 3:45am.
I do quite well, thanks to diet, appropriate exercise and a determination to not give in to the situation. I don't have that luxury. Too many depend on me.
I hope you find your own path to coping.
Gentle hugs, Linda
Its lovely here ul find alot of love and support. Welcome
Welcome, and I am sorry that DS is giving you trouble. Ever since they changed the format last fall, they're fixing more glitches than the old site ever had. (Sorta like Windows 10 that way.) Anyway, please, *do talk about it*.
Bottling it in? DOesn't help. Here, we can whine, moan, carp, ponder, rant, rave, etc., and know tha t nobody will judge us. Nice change from "real life", where my pain level is irrelevant to the Stuff That Must Be Done!
Cheers,
Leo
I'm glad you posted, and I hope you check out the daily check-in hosted by Leo. It helps to see that other people struggle with the exact same things that you do. I find this forum so helpful in seeing I'm not alone in these struggles, and I have found many friends. I know exactly how you feel. I'm a mother of twin girls and married. I feel like a major disappointment to my family and my husband has just turned angry about the whole situation, he hates my neediness and anxiety. I hope you get support and help from your family.
I thought this support site would be private, but I was wrong.
Anyone can read anyone' and post.
I struggle with sleep issues myself and my husband's snoring does not help at all. Lack of sleep can cause so many issues. Here are some things that have been helpful to me; deep breathing exercises, stretching, Humpback Whale song, quieting down a few hours before bed and staying off of electronics an hour or so before bed. Light from the electronics can mess with our circadian rhythms. Going outside in the morning for the sunshine is important to set our circadian rhythms. I am so sorry about your pain. My heart goes out to you. I hope you have been able to forgive your mom. Forgiveness brings peace and that really help in getting sleep. Your husband should consider getting a sleep study to see why he snores and what he can do to stop; then both of you will sleep better. Blessings to you and your family.
I also have trouble sleeping. They had me on such a cocktail of drugs and for the most part, none worked. So don't think you "failed" because a drug didn't help you! It's just chemistry and you have no control over that.
I also fret over relationships. Seems like my body is my enemy some days. I know I should be kinder to "it" (my body) but boy, it's hard! My latest tactic is to think of my body as my pet since I LOVE my dog, Wyn, and would do anything at all to help her. Seems to be working so far.
And yes, we all know the pain of fibro (at least those of us who have it). I think that the mental stress of having to deal with the pain every single day is as bad as the pain itself. My constant pain chips away at my mind, body and soul. It affects everything.
This mental strain is under acknowledged, sadly. We are a society where things that are SEEN are given more weight than things that aren't. Like it you have a broken leg, everyone understands why you can't just run along. But when it's a hidden wound, folks in general just don't acknowledge it.
Well, take heart and keep fighting. You are a WARRIOR! Nibbor
