In 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big expensive weddings and within a few a few years a divorce. Not worth it.
So, today is our 57th anniversary and Mario made reservations at a restaurant on the river that is a once a year kind of spending. It will be so nice to just relax and enjoy.
Sandra, our state of Oregon is on fire, more fires then in our history. I don't know how your government handles fires in the UK, do they gather all help for the country and put it out? Here each state is on it's own with the Orange One. We will not get any help from the federal government which is the president on down to the congress and senate. He hates any state that voted blue which means not for him. The red states voted for him.
Carly, how is your state doing with fires and or flooding? Your state is red so the Orange One does provide all the help you need through FEMA. Also, what have they decided on Mike? Do you know the name of the bacteria causing his pneumonia? I hope he is on the way to mendng.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
We got married by a justice of the peae in his office at the local volunteer fire department. I probbably have the only pghoto in history of sonemone getting her "kiss the bridge" moment with a big red truck peeling out in the background, LOL.
